12-hour shifts to one day off: Kim Kardashian’s strict rules for her kids’ nannies are INSANE
It's a 'military-style operation', apparently
It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian is a busy woman. She’s carved out a career in the reality TV world, and since then, she’s been achieving literally everything she’s set her mind to. Kim is a billionaire businesswoman. So, as she juggles her multiple businesses, her TV stardom, events, and has finished law school, people might just be curious about her four kids, and how on earth she’d have time to look after them. Enter the nannies!
Kim’s ‘nannies and mannies run a military operation’
With a schedule as busy as Kim Kardashian’s, it kind of makes sense that she’d need to run a tight ship when it comes to her four children.
But, could anyone have guessed she has a “military-style operation” going on when it comes to her kids’ “24/7 childcare”? Well, we certainly didn’t.
The SKIMS founder and business mogul spends “millions” on making sure her kids are taken care of, according to The Sun.
Kim is reportedly staffed “seven days a week,” and each nanny is said to be assigned a brief on each of her children’s needs and requirements.
“A night nanny hoovers up the slog of parenting – arranging everything for Kim’s brood for the mornings like their learning supplies, football kits, and games while being on call in case anyone wakes up in the night,” stated the report.
And the daily schedule doesn’t look like it lets up: “Then the other nannies start at 6 am on the dot and work 12-hour shifts.”
10 nannies isn’t enough
To ensure Kim’s kids are missing out on anything in life, the nannies that are hired reportedly only get one day off a week.
They’re also expected to travel with the child they’re assigned to, and there are around 10 nannies and ‘mannies’ working for the reality TV star.
But the childcare doesn’t actually stop at 10 nannies. That figure doesn’t count the “…tutors, art teacher, dance and music teachers, the kids’ stylists, creative play, and the house is often full of people there in service of the children…”
As if that wasn’t all wild enough, there’s also a Chief Nanny!
What does the role of Chief Nanny entail, you ask? Well, they “manage the nanny fleet and liaise with a separate household team on the children’s meals and activities,” of course.
With all of these people in tow, Kim’s kids‘ “meals, clothing, laundry, security, drivers, and schedules” are all taken care of.
But, naturally, it all comes at a cost, and a pretty hefty one, too.
The source said: “A few of the nannies live-in during the week…. The full-time nannies are all on about $100,000 or more a year. Nannies who have been there 18 months or more – and are liked by the kids get a pay rise.”
“However, insiders reveal Kim is not the highest payer in Hollywood as a nanny’s salary can soar to $250,000.”
