All the wild drama that went on between Taylor and Miranda on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
They went from BFFs to enemies
Taylor Frankie Paul and Miranda McWhorter were both embroiled in drama after the whole MomTok swinging scandal on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. They were besties, but they’re now trying to repair their old feud, after Miranda, known to be involved in the original MomTok feud, made a bold return to the Hulu show.
Taylor and Miranda used to be best friends
Taylor and Miranda were BFFs before The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Miranda had previously denied being part of the swinging scandal, along with her husband, but has since suggested she was involved. She told People, “I think a lot of Taylor’s frustrations were with me not being totally authentic and truthful,” she said. “I was just like, ‘Well, everyone wasn’t hooking up with everyone,’ and I just left it at that.”
She added, “I get why that would feel unfair to her. I think there was a lot of fear, guilt, and shame that played a role in that for me, things that I needed to address in my personal life between my marriage, my religion, all of that.” Miranda is now single and hoping to repair broken ties from the MomTok friends she had, including Taylor.
“I think people forget our friendship was way prior to our scandal, if you will. It was four years of all the time, always together, phone calls, everything,” Taylor said on the show. “We were closer, I’d say, than our families — hanging out more.” Basically, she spoke about the scandal and exposed it in 2022, implicating her friend, Miranda and her ex-husband Chase, in the soft-swinging scandal.
Taylor said her and her now-ex-husband Tate Paul agreed they wouldn’t “go all the way” with anyone else, but she admitted that she “did step out of that agreement” and fell in love with one of the other husbands she was swinging with. Jessi, from the Mormon Wives show, basically explained the drama that happened between Miranda and Taylor…
She said, “Miranda and her ex-husband, Chase, were a couple heavily involved in the swinging scandal with Taylor and her ex-husband. Taylor started talking about it. It came out, it became public and it was explosive on the internet. Miranda and her husband panicked. She left MomTok and they denied everything, which made Taylor look worse.”
The Mormon Wives are hashing it out
Miranda and Taylor are prepared to repair their friendship, having had some breathing time since the scandal. Miranda told Entertainment Tonight, ““I wanted to face it head on and I’m like I am so over like the running and the hiding, and I feel like I’m a completely different person and I’ve told Taylor this before too, I’m like if there’s anything that you feel like I haven’t been forward about like let’s lay it all out.”
“I don’t want to still be in the same space that I’ve been in for so long of like you know confronting things with the level of like – well not even really confronting it – but like anything I was facing was with a level of guilt and shame and I’m like I just wanna lay it all out and move past it once and for all,” Miranda added following their drama.
