Here’s where Kanye West and Kim stand with each other after he appeared on The Kardashians
They co-parent their four kids
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are awkwardly appearing by their daughter North West’s side during her take to the stage on The Kardashians. They’ve been co-parenting their four children since their divorce in 2022, but there’s been very public drama between them over the last few years, even though he tries to steer clear of her reality TV show.

Kanye West briefly makes an appearance on The Kardashians. He’s there to support his daughter North West, his eldest child shared with ex-wife Kim, and wears sunglasses while holding North’s hand and saying a prayer. In the clip, she’s just about to head onto a Los Angeles stage for her Lion King role as Simba, which took place in May 2024.
It was one of Kanye and Kim’s first public reunions, two years after their divorce, and it’s come out at a slightly awkward time as they’re not on the best terms just under a year later. In a confessional, Kim indicated she was pleased her ex-husband was there and said: “Her dad has been involved and he came to rehearsal.”
Kim went on to share how Kanye even asked the producers to “change the graphics” for North’s appearance – and she urged them to take his notes seriously. “Of course, of course. And I just look at (the producers) and I’m like, ‘It will be a better production,'” the 44-year-old recalled, before insisting, “Kanye and I want the best for the kids. And so, anytime we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes.”
Where do Kanye and Kim stand months later?

Currently, Kanye and Kim aren’t in the best place. She’s recently set strict rules to allow him and his wife Bianca Censori to see their four kids, including no nudity, less sugar and less social media for their son, Saint West, especially after Bianca wore an X-rated outfit at the Grammy’s. So it’s safe to say Kim isn’t quite as lenient with Kanye these days.
Six months after the Lion King event is when things became difficult, as Kim felt she was raising her children as a solo parent. “Feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us,” she said on the What in the Winkler? podcast. “But sometimes in the middle of the night they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up.”
She added, “It’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, basically raising four kids by myself.”
