Aside from Melissa Gorga‘s constant feud with Teresa Giudice, Joe’s sister, their marriage has been pretty smooth-sailing. Joe Gorga often tells her how proud is of her while she’s always there to support him.
Spring break trip led to love
Melissa was on a spring break trip to Cancun, Mexico, when she first met Joe in 2002. She was on a vacation with friends, and Joe was staying at the same hotel, but the two groups went separate ways.
It was practically fate though, as the two bumped into each other at a beach bar in Jersey Shore, which marked their second meeting. They were married just two years later!
Joe spends all day cooking
Joe surprised Melissa with a chicken dish he’d been cooking up all day. “The best for the best,” he told her, telling his wife she’d been working so hard recently and that he “stands by her.”
“I’m a lucky man, I’m proud of her,” he told cameras, before presenting her with a strawberry ice cream dessert. Melissa told him he’s “really a good husband” and even questioned if he ordered the meal.

Melissa brought papers Joe required on a work site, when she asks him if the conditions are “always this dirty”. The couple had an opportunity to appear on a Sizzle Tay billboard together, where he’s working.
He asks her to ride a machine while he works, to which she replies, “I can do anything, babe.” After her attempt though, Joe told his wife, “Stick to making me dinner.”
She protects her husband’s head
When Joe’s head was covered in spray-on hair, Melissa made sure to put a hat on him in protection as she didn’t want him exposed. He asked, “WHAT IS THIS BLACK S***? SERIOUSLY WHAT IS THIS?!”
Several people surrounded Joe in the bathroom to figure out what the black ink was. One fan recalled the ep and wrote, “she said it was shoe shine or something after the fight like a good wife and ran to joe.”
They open a business
Alongside welcoming three kids, Melissa and Joe opened a pizza restaurant with his sister, Teresa Giudice. It was meant to be a new beginning for the feuding siblings, but it shut just one year later.
Celebrating 20 years together
Melissa confesses how she was “pretty smart” for marrying Joe at 25 years old. They’ve welcomed daughter Antonia, 19, and sons Gino, 16, and Joey, 14, and are a happy family-of-five.
At the time, she was an aspiring teacher. Since they wed, Melissa and Joe have barely spent time apart and often have date nights and vacations hand-in-hand.
