[Link]Love Islanders flood comments after Mimi and Josh’s win
Although Mimi and Josh stole the top spot on Love Island series 11, it seems there’s no bad blood between the couple and their co-stars.
Many islanders are taking to Instagram following Mimi and Josh’s victory to show them some love and join in the celebrations.
Former Love Island star Lochan Nowacki writes: “Let’s go,” on the winners’ post, while this year’s star Harriett Blackmore comments: “SLAY MIMI.”
Islanders Grace and Reuben, Diamante, and Munveer all also leave celebratory comments on the IG post.
Catherine Agbaje says she’s set for the celebrations to continue long after the final, writing: “Congratulations to them! Really made history today so so happy for JOMI it’s a celebration all week.”
Former Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri, Sammy Root, and this year’s Ronnie and Uma also shared their excitement over Mimi and Josh’s win.
[Link]Ciaran and Nicole ‘join an iconic club’, say fans
Winning Love Island and bagging a $50K cash prize to share has got to be a dream come true for many people.
Unfortunately for lovebirds Ciaran and Nicole, they didn’t quite land the top spot this year but finished the show as runners-up – and much-loved runners-up at that.
The two have fans thinking they could “end up getting married,” per a Reddit thread.
And more say they’ve entered an “iconic club” of past Love Island runners-up whose relationships are standing the test of time.
Ciaran and Nicole join the likes of Olivia and Alex Bowen of Love Island season 2, and Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague of season 5.
Many have high hopes for the Welsh couple tweeting: “Feel gutted for Nicole and Ciaran but the runners-up always go the distance.”
Love Island’s ‘best couple ever’ isn’t Josh and Mimi
Although Mimi and Josh take the Love Island 2024 crown and cash prize this July, fans are hailing another duo as “the best couple ever.”
Hosting the show’s AfterSun segment, Maya Jama revealed how Pete Wicks had secretly flown out to Mallorca to surprise his best friend, Sam Thompson.
She explains: “It’s World Friendship Day on Tuesday and Pete has secretly flown out here to surprise you… because there’s only one thing that’s as good as love, and that’s friendship…”
Fans appear to adore the pair’s bromance with many taking to Instagram to comment: “The brotherly love these two have for each other is so special. It’s beautiful.”
The duo are well known for their bond and they often get paps and their fans laughing with their hilarious pranks and skits on social media.
Fans ‘so happy’ for Mimi after ‘she went through it emotionally’
The dust is still settling following Love Island 2024’s big finale this July. As fans celebrate winners Mimi and Josh’s success, many cast their minds back on the season and remember how much Mimi “went through.”
It certainly wasn’t plain sailing for the star during her time in the villa. At one point, Mimi’s actions were hailed “embarrassing.” The islander stayed “loyal” to Ayo when the Casa Amor episodes came around.
Mimi’s strength hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans as many take to Instagram to write: “…She really went through it emotionally and I’m so happy she won.”
More commented: “SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH HELD HER HEAD HIGH AND DESERVES IT! QUEEN MIMI AND KING JOSH.”
All in all, it seems tons of the stars’ fans believe their win was “well-deserved.”
Winning feels ‘surreal’ for Mimi and Josh
After making Love Island history this July, Mimi and Josh took a moment to share how they were feeling after taking the crown.
Speaking to cameras from the villa in Mallorca, they said they were “thankful” and “grateful” to everyone for voting. Mimi added: “So grateful and it feels surreal right now.”
Josh said: “We’re still taking it in but we’re just thankful, and really grateful… We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Mimi and Josh break show history
Mimi and Josh have broke Love Island history “against all odds” as the first Black couple to win. They are also the newest couple in the villa.
Fans are overjoyed that they got their happy ending! They are now £50K richer as a couple, and Mimi is a “lover girl” again as Josh showed her true Princess treatment.
[Link]Ayo’s brother ‘ruined it’
Ayo’s brother came into the villa and told him he preferred Mimi as a match. When he placed fourth, fans claimed the Ayo’s brother “ruined it” for the contestant.
Many felt Ayo and Jess deserved to at least place in the top three, but they were beaten by Sean and Matilda. Plus, the much-loved Mimi is our WINNER!
[Link]OUR WINNERS ARE…
Mimi and Josh are Love Island 2024’s winners! In particular, Mimi was gobsmacked and cried tears of shock, while Josh looked happier than ever.
Runners-up Ciaran and Nicole chatted to Maya, with Nicole saying she’s “already won” by finishing the show with Ciaran. Now, we celebrate!
Well done to Mimi and Josh. He came in, swept her off her feet, and became the winning bombshell, while Mimi has been on the ITV dating show for an entire eight weeks.
[Link]Two remaining couples announced
Well done to Ayo and Jess, who placed fourth, and Matilda and Sean, who came third. Maya Jama is now looking back on Ciaran and Nicole, and Mimi and Josh’s journey.
Nicole revealed she now fully trusts Ciaran, while Josh admitted he “just said how he felt with no regrets”. Mimi even regrets getting Joey involved in the terrace situation.
We can’t wait to see who is crowned our WINNERS!
Bombshells dominate final
Other than Ciaran and Nicole, bombshells are dominating this year’s final. Matilda walked in and coupled up with Sean, giving him his first kiss of the season.
Jess is a Casa Amor bombshell, but Ayo has been loyal to her since they met – albeit a few flirts with Mimi. He even said no to having a chat with Mimi on the terrace.
Josh was the most recent bombshell, giving Mimi everything she deserves from a new teddy to a date in the hideaway jacuzzi, while she processed Ayo dumping her.
[Link]Maya Jama ‘stans’ couple
Mimi and Josh appear to have stolen the nations’ hearts with their love story. He walked in as a bombshell and swept the single girl off her feet.
Host, Maya Jama, has been accused of being a #Jomii stan herself, after Josh revealed he’s “already won” by developing a romantic connection with Mimi.
Although Ciaran and Nicole have been the most tight-knit and are the only girlfriend and boyfriend in the final, fans feel Josh gives Mimi the princess treatment she deserves.
[Link]Mimi’s journey ‘began with Josh’
When Mimi received a text about bombshell Josh, her life changed, she revealed in her heartfelt declaration. He’s proven he’s her “protector” and gives her butterflies.
Josh describes life with Mimi as a “dream” and even confesses that it “feels like nothing else matters” – before proceeding to write her a cute poem.
Matilda and Sean were then up, revealing he makes her feel “safe, happy and completely at ease” – before he tells her he loves her, and she says it back!
[Link]Declarations: Jess gets emotional
Jess and Ayo go first, with her getting emotional and telling him she “can’t wait” for their future. He says she’s “everything” and thinks he’s a “lucky man” to have her.
He even dropped the L bomb!
Nicole knew she liked him from the moment he told her she was Welsh. They “grew to learn” and is “fully obsessed with him,” admitting she trusts him with every bone.
Ciaran admits he had his eye on her after just three days in the villa. “I need you, you need me, us two work together,” he revealed – making Jess cry!
[Link]Grace and Joey were TOP drama
Grace Jackson and Joey Essex provided us with top drama this season. Not only were they together for ages – basically joined at the hip – he ditched her for Jessy.
They fought constantly, from Joey claiming Grace was just mates with Jessy because she still fancies him, to Grace saying she’s “too emotionally mature” to speak to him.
Both Grace and Joey are now friends, and are supporting their fellow islanders at the final. They both vowed to prove the public’s opinions wrong that they would not last with their couples on the outside – and time will only tell…
[Link]Love Island 2024 final begins
It’s finally starting! Last night, we waved goodbye to Joey and Jessy after ex-islanders chose who to send home. Live from Mallorca, Mimi and Josh, Ciaran and Nicole, Ayo and Jess, and Sean and Nicole are the 2024 finalists.
Tonight, we’ll see the couples write heartfelt declarations, enjoy their last night in the villa, and finally crown the most loved couple of the season. Even Joey and Jessy and Grace and Reuben are watching from the live crowd!
[Link]Joey and Mimi had beef
After Mimi asked Joey to help her collect Ayo to meet her on the terrace, he constantly brought it up in challenges, even though he said he’d stop talking about it.
Joey even ended up arguing with his couple, Jessy, about it, as he kept calling it a “secret mission” and, according to Mimi, made her out to be something she is not.
Eventually, Joey made amends and bought Mimi flowers to say sorry. She admitted she was going to distance herself but gladly accepted his apology.
[Link]Let’s talk about Love Island drama
There’s been a lot of drama this season. One of the top feuds has to be when Jess and Harriett fought over Ronnie, who could not decide which of them he wanted.
When Ronnie ditched Harriett for Tiffany, Jess and Harriett became BFFs, especially when the latter was left in tears and claimed she was “drying her lashes”.
They cleared the air later on, with Jess warning Harriett to be careful and going on to find love with Hugo after Casa Amor. They’re still dating now – and Harriett’s with Ronnie!
Jess often told Ronnie she’s the prize, but Harriett hit back by captioning her post-villa photo with, “The REAL prize.” Not awkward at all.
Their drama was so extreme that Love Island was it by 4700 Ofcom complaints about how Jess was treating Harriett, as reported by The Sun.
Drama is inevitable
There’s a reason why Casa Amor causes so many arguments. An etiquette expert exclusively told us that Love Island goes against the usual rules of society.
From having multiple attractive people to choose to date in one place, to pulling each other for chats, the contestants genuinely follow good etiquette, apparently.
As cameras are watching them, or maybe because they care about each other, islanders try to be honest – most of the time – or their antics are revealed at movie night!
[Link]Kim Kardashian invited to join
While we wait for the Love Island final 2024 to begin, let’s just discuss one strange moment we absolutely did not have on our bingo card this year.
Kim Kardashian was invited to join the All Stars show, airing in January 2025. The UK official Instagram account invited her on via Instagram comments.
She wrote under a photo of herself, “A bombshell just entered the villa,” and somehow, Kim was given an invitation – despite not being a former islander.
We’ll make exceptions for you, reality TV queen!
ALMOST TIME!!!
Less than one hour to go until the Love Island final starts. Let’s all gather around the firepit and decide which couple we want to become our official winners!
Fans who watched for eight weeks are putting their final votes in:
Josh had hots for Grace
Grace Jackson, who initially walked in as Joey’s ex and developed a close connection with him, fancied Josh, and he felt the same level of attraction for her.
However, it was always Mimi he had the strongest bond with, even though the flirty chats he shared with Grace were “exactly what she needed”.
During a challenge, Joey claimed Josh still liked Grace but he hit him back with a simple question: “The question is, do you still have feelings for her?”
[Link]Ciaran fancied another islander
Ciaran was coupled up with Harriett Blackmore, who has since left the villa and remains in a relationship with Ronnie, who she exited the island hand-in-hand with.
He kissed Harriett in bed, despite getting to know Nicole. She was not happy and they ended up having a huge argument, but she forgave him as she fancied him so much.
Nicole was coupled with Sean at the time, which soon became a friendship couple. Before she developed a close connection with Ciaran, Joey Essex walked in.
She told her fellow islanders how her mom would not believe she’d kissed Joey in a challenge, but it wasn’t long before Ciaran and Nicole developed a welsh love story.
The two went on a date, with Nicole shouting that they’ll “get married and have three babies in Wales” – and now they’re boyfriend and girlfriend!
[Link]Mimi’s first ever match
Based on how much girlfriend and boyfriend material the islanders believed each other to be, Mimi was paired with former islander, Munveer, who then chose Patsy.
But from the start, Mimi and Ayo were focused on each other, with her head still with him even when Omar Nyame took Mimii on a date.
During a recoupling, Mimi had the chance to either steal Ayo or recouple with bombshell, Omar, even though Ayo had been getting to know Uma.
Ayo was even kissing Mimi in bed while keeping his options open with Uma, but she wasn’t having any of it and removed herself from the triangle.
Even after Casa Amor, Ayo admitted he wanted both Jess and Mimi, and told Joey he still liked his ex. However, in walked Josh and their romance was no more.
[Link]Beginning to now: Sean’s failed past
Sean was initially into Jess, but she didn’t feel a vibe with him. She ditched Ronnie for him, but it didn’t really work out… until Tiffany Leighton walked in.
Tiffany’s top two were Ronnie and Sean, but she ultimately went for Ronnie. Sean was left high and dry, but Matilda swept him off his feet. She loved how kind he was to her.
Sean even caused friction with good friend, Omar, who was also developing a connection with Matilda. He stole her away from him halfway through a chat.
Omar was the only person Matilda had hots for other than Sean. He came in during a recent episode to send them home, as he thinks Matilda gets annoyed with Sean.
Josh wasn’t happy with Mimi
For a while, Josh noticed how Mimi and Ayo kept having conversations in the villa. So when he found out about the infamous ‘secret mission‘ with Ayo, Josh wasn’t happy.
She explained how all it was, was her trying to clear the air with Ayo after the Snog, Marry, Avoid challenge, as Ayo decided he’d marry her, and she snogged him.
Soon after, they decided their romance was done, and Josh and Mimi moved forward. Thy went on a cute date, with Josh buying her a teddy called Jomi. Cuties!
[Link]Nicole struggled to trust Ciaran
Nicole required reassurance from Ciaran at first. He kissed Harriett in bed in the first week, despite flirting with Nicole, and admitted he wanted to snog Grace in a challenge.
As he’s a rugby player, who Nicole has been cheated on by in the past, she struggled to trust him. But Casa Amor was the ultimate test, and Ciaran remained loyal.
He told her that someone he knows, Ellie, was part of Casa Amor, but said he only exchanged a few messages with her. Ellie claimed it was more than that, though.
Nicole was fuming about it, but they resolved things quickly. They’ve now said they love each other – and she’s even admitted she now trusts Ciaran.
[Link]Ayo’s brother prefers Mimi
Ayo and Jess have had their fair share of problems, including her outing him for poor communication skills when she picked him in a recoupling.
One issue was that Sean kept indicating Ayo still had feelings for Mimi, which he openly admitted to Jess, but that only caused friction with Sean rather than between them.
Then, when Ayo’s brother came in, he told his sibling that he believes he’s better suited to Mimi. Jess ended up crying to Matilda as she knows his family’s opinion is important.
During the Grafties Awards, Jess won the award for the most one-sided couple. She took it on the chin and jokily said, “I am obsessed with Ayo. Say it back!”
When the ex-islanders came in to vote for the couple to send home, Will picked Ayo and Jess on the basis that his brother prefers Mimi, but Ayo doesn’t agree.
Sean’s WILD Casa Amor antics
Sean and Matilda may be exclusive now, but he did ask Diamante to sleep in his bed and told her she was his “priority” during Casa Amor.
He claimed he’d meant Diamante was the priority at the time, but ultimately chose Matilda, as she’s his fizzy watermelon who has now met his parents.
During Casa, Matilda was told by Hugo that it didn’t seem like there was any intimate chemistry towards Sean from her side, but she disagreed with him.
[Link]Mimi and Josh overcome ‘terrace’ test
Mimi and Josh are one of the favorites to win, despite Joey Essex being told to help with what he called a “secret mission” when Mimi asked him to get Ayo to talk to her.
Josh walked in as a bombshell alongside fellow star, Reuben, and only had eyes for Mimi. She was fresh out of a relationship after Ayo ditched her for Jess.
Mimi admitted Josh was exactly her type, as she wanted someone tall with good fashion sense. He wined and dined her immediately, and even took her to the hideaway.
[Link]Ciaran and Nicole are the OGs
Ciaran and Nicole are both Welsh and hit it off from the very beginning. He was coupled up with Harriett at first, who he kissed in bed while getting to know Nicole.
The two have managed to go from strength to strength, and only live half an hour down the road from each other! They are the only OGs to still be together from the start.
Despite many a bombshell coming in – such as Ciaran’s former flame, Ellie – they withstood the tests and both remained loyal during Casa Amor.
[Link]Jess met Ayo in Casa Amor
The only couple to make it from Casa Amor, Ayo done a madness and ditched Mimi for Jess. He told Jess she was his type from the get go, and she admitted she’s obsessed.
Jess felt so bad for returning to the main villa with Ayo that she sat Mimi down and told her it wasn’t that Mimi and Ayo had no connection, but that he’d found another with her.
They were inseparable in the few days of Casa Amor, with Sean encouraging Ayo to find “a bit of spice” with Jess. Ayo also admitted Jess brought out his playful, jokey side.
[Link]Matilda and Sean reach final
Matilda and Sean are officially in the final after coupling up on day 22. She walked in as a bombshell and essentially kickstarted Sean’s journey, as he hadn’t found a connection.
Although he got up to questionable antics in Casa Amor, such as kissing Diamante, Sean realised that the girl he really wanted was Matilda, so he stuck with her.
They’ve had their fair share of arguments, such as him telling her to shut up and her making him put graft in after his Casa kisses, but they’re now exclusive!
[Link]Islanders can earn thousands online
After making their rise to fame on Love Island, contestants can make at least £8,000 ($10,000) per Instagram post once they get back to the outside world.
So not only do they get the chance to find love, they’re basically set for life. They can essentially forget about a typical 9-to-5 job – which is what Jessy was doing!
Uma Jammeh has gained the biggest increase in Instagram followers since entering as one of the first bombshells. She gained over 186K followers since the villa.
[Link]Key winners’ twist SCRAPPED
Two years ago, Ekin-Su and Davide Sanclimenti took home the Love Island crown. After bosses decided to remove the usual split or steal twist, they shared the £50,000 prize.
However, fans were basically fuming because their fiery arguments in the villa – Davide calling Ekin-Su an actress and a ‘liar – convinced fans they might finally take advantage of the twist. Whoever wins this year simply won’t get the choice to do that.
The couple remained together and even went on to secure their own ITV travel show, but they have since broken up. Ekin-Su revealed why she split from an ex on Big Brother.
[Link]Winners get £50K to share
The winning couple receives £50K to split between them, receiving £25K each. In the past, the winning duo would each get an envelope: one saying ‘share’ and one saying ‘steal’.
In 2022, this was scrapped as viewers thought it was unfair, as the person who received the envelope saying ‘steal’ would get to choose to keep ALL the money if they wished.
Two years on after this rule was abandoned, you may be wondering if anyone has ever decided to keep the money during the glory days.
[Link]The fashion was ‘wild’ this season
There’s some seriously FIRE outfits this year. Each season, eBay provide the Love Island villa with second-hand looks – but they’re not everyone’s cup of tea.
Former islander, Tasha Ghouri, made history when she became the first-ever ambassador of the secondhand goods site, as she simply slayed every single outfit.
Did you know that the islanders often swap and change looks – which was highlighted by Matilda this season, as she claimed she’s “given the girls loads of outfits”?
The islanders basically get a clothing allowance, meaning they could technically turn up with zero clothes and still have an entire wardrobe of options. Fast fashion who?
Love Island USA excited fans more
Even though Joey Essex was treated the same as other islanders, as per a source, fans think that ITV ‘spent the budget’ on him and left the rest of the season high and dry.
ITV releases Love Island final tease
Josh toasts to “beautiful connections, great friendships and a fantastic future” on the final night in the villa. Ciaran gets a text – they’re all having a special finalists’ dinner…
Heartfelt declarations are made by the girls and boys. Will Ayo talk in riddles again or is Jess going the get the reassurance she truly deerves?
Then, the boys and girls get suited and booted for one another – and like Josh said, everyone is looking amazing in their finalist-esque attire…
Vote for your favorites – it’s simple
It’s never been easier to vote for your favorite couple, just head over to the Love Island app to choose the winners for Series 11, and who knows, maybe they will be crowned the UK champion in the finale?

[Link]When is the Love Island UK final going to air in the US?
It may seem like a long wait, but in the US fans are going to have to wait until Saturday, August 3 to stream the finale on Hulu at around 3am ET.
Until then, you can follow our live blog here, if you’re as impatient as we are!
The countdown has started and the Love Island UK final is set to begin in just a few hours…

Fans already are trying to rally up devoted viewers into voting for their favorite, with Mimi and Josh taking the lead on social media.
Fans mock the final dates
Fans were upset by the Love Island UK final dates last night, asking where the ‘budget has gone’. The major shakeup saw the individual dates instead change to a group date around a big round table.
But fans were upset by the crucial part of the show being switched up so close to the final tonight.
Usually, they have romantic dates under the stars, with previous Islanders going on helicopter rides, hot air balloons or dine in front of picturesque views.
This time?
Love Island UK finale watch parties
Some lucky fans have had the chance to watch the finale from the real Love Island villa in Magaluf. Jealous!
They’ll be up close and personal with the series 11 contestants as we eagerly await to find out who really found their type on paper.
How did we get here?
The Only Way is Essex legend Joey Essex was thrown out of the running for the final in the penultimate episode alongside Jessy, with drama erupting around the fire pit.
He was voted out with Jessy Potts by the other contestants, who said they were the ‘least compatible couple’.
It was quite the result, seeing as Joey was the first celebrity contestant of the show.
Now, he may have had a bit of a strop during the episode before he left, but it’s his birthday today, so we’re sure he’ll be celebrating by watching the Love Island final with the rest of us!
He said: “It feels good to be leaving, I feel like I had an amazing run in there, went through the full cycle of emotions you get in the villa, and if you have to leave, you might as well go out with a bang… It’s my birthday on Monday, so feels like I’m going out at a good time.”
