The singing sensation is hailed by fans as a mixture between “Post Malone and Sam Smith.” Teddy has not only been bringing his star quality to The Voice, but he also performed alongside Kelly Clarkson on her talk show this December.
During The Voice‘s season 24 finale episode, it wasn’t just the show’s finalists taking to the stage. The NBC series welcomed artists including Tyla, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Dan + Shay, as well as Teddy Swims to round off this year’s show.
Does Teddy Swims have gold teeth?
During The Voice season 24 episode 26, Teddy Swims performs on stage wearing a silver and black suit, and black shades on his head.
The tattooed singer’s look was completed with a set of gold grills which are essentially caps covering his teeth.
Teddy doesn’t technically have gold teeth – not all the time, anyway.
His Instagram page shows his regular teeth in posts as recent as December 19.
Teddy Swims on The Voice
In a showstopper of a finale, Teddy took to The Voice stage to perform his song Lose Control on Tuesday night.
Teddy’s fans took to X (Twitter) to share how impressed they were by the singer’s performance. One person wrote: “Teddy Swims showed them how it’s done.”
Another said they want a “Mara and Teddy duet.”
Others are keen to see Teddy promoted to “coach” on the show, adding: “Coach Teddy has a nice ring to it.”
More saw the singer’s performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show and said it was “phenomenal,” adding that Teddy is “fabulous.” One said their Lose Control gave them “chills.”
The Voice star’s real name
Naturally, a stage name like Teddy Swims can spark some curiosity in fans.
One fan expressed their surprise at learning Teddy’s real name on X. The wrote: “Teddy Swims sings like THAT, and I would never guess his real name sounds like he comes from a banking family.”
The 31-year-old Georgia native’s real name is Jaten Collin Dimsdale.
How did his stage name come about? The singer told The Project he had been called “Teddy his whole life,” and Swims is an acronym for “Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes.”
Teddy rose to fame via YouTube and is well known for his covers of other artists’ songs.
