Lauren Sintes from Made in Chelsea: Sydney 2023 (MIC) has an unusual accent that is a stretch different from her Kings Road co-stars. She doesn’t even sound like the new Aussie cast members, which has only baffled viewers even more. But there’s a reason for her unique twang…
She joined the E4 cast earlier this year. Lauren is now a London gal who used to travel a lot, but is now mainly seen on Made in Chelsea. And it’s not just her accent but “those eyes” that are winning Harvey Armstrong over, after Lauren broke up with Tristan Phipps for kissing a girl in a club.
Made in Chelsea 2023: Lauren’s accent
Lauren Sintes on Made in Chelsea: Sydney 2023 has an American accent. She lived in the United States for several years but originally hails from London, but she is half French and half British.
This explains why she has an American accent with a slight twang. Her modelling and influencer job involves traveling the world, such as being in Sydney for work and traveling to Vietnam, Italy, and more.
She recently attended the Amfar Gala in Venezia, Italy, and has been to Maldives and Bali in the past. Co-star Ruby Adler said, “Can’t wait to see you,” to which Lauren replied: “Sydney reunion baby!!”
Inside Lauren Sintes’ London roots
Lauren had private education growing up. She is no stranger to travelling alone, either, having gone on a solo trip to Vietnam before meeting her MIC co-stars down under.
She was also brought up in countries globally due to her dad’s career in the hotel industry. Lauren went to international school in Malaysia, Indonesia and then Mauritius during her childhood.
MIC star Lauren has been modelling for eight years, and during her career has modelled for UK-based brands including Boohoo, ASOS and PrettyLittleThing.
Viewers baffled over her accent
E4 viewers are totally confused about Lauren’s voice. One fan wrote: “Can’t stand Lauren’s accent she’s got going on but she really stood on business with Tristan. He needs a reality check #MadeInChelsea.”
Another viewer penned on Twitter: “I can’t take Lauren’s American accent seriously. If she was mad at me and started popping off I’d be laughing my ass hard.”
“That’s not a real American accent, right? #MadeInChelsea#Lauren@E4Chelsea,” said a fellow fan. However, Lauren’s accent is completely natural and influenced by her international upbringing!
