Selling Sunset’s Chrishell calls out her ex Jason Oppenheim after ‘out of touch’ video

Ex mum and dad are fighting!

Former Selling Sunset agent Chrishell Stause is beefing with her ex Jason Oppenheim, after he posted a video this week that was sliiiiightly out of touch with reality.

Of course, everyone who is part of Selling Sunset is rich. They sell the glam lifestyle, they live the glam lifestyle. And this weekend, Jason Oppenheim illustrated that he might have forgotten not everyone can afford to be part of that bracket.

He posted a video in his new Tesla, and shared what he called a “public service announcement” urging everyone to buy a Tesla, like his, with driverless technology. Of course, like the everyday person can do that casually.

“Guys this is the most important video that I’ve ever posted,” he claimed. “I just bought a Tesla, and the full self-driving capabilities are life changing.” He then went on to give a demo, asking the Grok AI in his car to drive him to The Oppenheim Group office.

“I was on the phone with my brother last night, and I made him buy one,” he said, obviously referencing Brett Oppenheim, who like him, has a net worth of around $50million. “He bought one while we were talking.” Jason then, as though it were nothing, said he’d given his Bentley to his dad, as he now “has no need for it”. He then said he was planning to buy all 10 of his Oppenheim Group employees as Tesla.

He admitted to often texting and sending emails while driving, and said this is now a much safer option for him. Teslas vary in price, but the full-self driving technology is a subscription add-on, which costs $99 a month. Therefore, no matter what spec of Tesla you drive, it’s not a cheap option.

Money aside, his ex Chrishell Stause has now called him out for “fangirling” over Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla. I probably don’t need to explain the controversy around Elon Musk, do I?

On Threads, she replied to Jason’s video and said: “Coming up on season 10 of Selling Sunset: Being a c*ck for Elon.” She then attached an article from The Guardian, headlined: “Child sexual abuse survivor alleges Elon Musk’s AI chatbot used photos of her to generate new illegal images.” At the time, Musk denied he was aware Grok ever produced “any naked underage images.”

Either way, it’s safe to say Chrishell and Jason might not be all that close after their breakup. Chrishell joined The Oppenheim Group for Selling Sunset in 2018, and just over two years later it was revealed she was dating the boss, Jason Oppenheim.

They went public with their relationship just two months after they’d started dating. But, in December 2021, the pair broke up.

They *said* they still shared a love for each other, but wanted different things for their futures. Despite having chosen baby names, this was what ended their relationship – Chrishell had wanted to start a family, but that wasn’t something Jason wanted for himself.
