Priya reveals she was constantly told off in the Love Island villa for very serious thing
The producers don’t take this lightly
Priya has been speaking out about her time in the Love Island villa, and she revealed she was constantly told off for doing one thing over and over again, which the producers view as very serious.
She went on Tennessee Thresher and Danny Aarons’ podcast Punchin’ and was asked to reveal a “confession” from her time in the villa that nobody would have seen, and she revealed that she constantly said the c-word.
“I said the c-word a lot and got told off for it. I was getting pulled up to the beach hut to be like ‘You need to not say this, you need to not say that’. Just not being media trained, I guess,” she said. “Just a few words, like the c-word for example, are borderline like that can’t get aired.”

Love Island used to air a lot more swearing back in the day, but the c-word has always been strictly banned. Ex-Islander Tyler Cruickshank told The Sun in 2022: “When we were saying things in there, we would get told off quite a lot because they weren’t politically correct.
“Like you can’t say ‘Chinese whispers’. I get it, but it’s something that would slip out of your mouth. You can’t say the c-word either. You get called to the beach hut and get told off. You can’t do accents either. I was trying to use the French accent, and I wasn’t very good, which is probably why they told me off.”
In 2019, Sherif Lanre was actually kicked off the show for using the c-word, so it’s not taken lightly. He kicked Molly-Mae in the groin during a play fight and then jokingly referred to it as a “c**t punt”. The next day, the producers woke him up and sent him packing.
Lorenzo was told off by producers this year too, for refusing to chat to girls. He got called straight to the beach hut after saying he was “all chatted out” and didn’t want to speak anymore. Did he forget he was on Love Island?!
