A look at Marcus Butler’s full 180 from Brit crew YouTuber to techno-loving Berlin model
Berghain is his favourite club
It’s been a decade since everyone’s favourite British YouTube group, the Brit Crew, parted ways, and everyone’s feeling super nostalgic, so here’s a look at how wildly different Marcus Butler’s life is now.
After launching his channel in 2010, Brighton-born Marcus became one of the UK’s biggest YouTubers with his ex-girlfriend at the time, Niomi Smart. He racked up almost four million subscribers and was known for his funny challenge content and vlogs, but he hasn’t posted on there for eight years and is literally unrecognisable in every way.

Marcus Butler is now a fashion model and DJ in Berlin
In 2016, Marcus started dating German model Stefanie Giesinger, who lived in Berlin, and moved to Germany to be with her. They broke up in October 2022 after six years together, but he stayed in Berlin after creating a new life for himself there.
Now, the 34-year-old has swapped the floppy fringe for a blonde buzz cut and is an effortlessly cool fashion model who has done campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and L’Oréal and been in loads of magazines. He also does a bit of DJing on the side and has his own clothing brand ANTE Berlin, which sells casual wear and running gear.
He still has more than 4.4 million followers on Instagram, but he’s ditched the funny pranks and “Hello’s” for more polished high-fashion outfit pics instead. That’s the only social media platform he has these days, and he keeps his life offline as much as possible.

The nostalgic Brit crew YouTuber loves going to Berghain
In a recent street interview, Marcus revealed that when he’s not working, he loves going to Berghain, the mysterious Berlin techno nightclub that’s impossible to get into and has developed a big reputation for being a sex club. People go there on Saturday and stay there until Monday morning, and all sorts goes on in there.
“It’s a place I like to go. It’s my favourite club,” he said. The concept of Marcus Butler in Berghain is wild, but people think this new vibe suits him.

“I actually really like this era for him honestly, he seems like he’s doing what he enjoys!” someone on TikTok said. Another agreed: “Sometimes I just think, how lucky he met Steffi to move to Berlin. he fits so well in this city.”
The idea of Marcus Butler being a Berlin raver would have sent 14-year-old me into oblivion, but he definitely seems happy in his new life. He’s done a full 180, that’s for sure.
