Lidl lingerie and adult trolley seats: The best and worst brand April Fool’s pranks of 2026

I actually want some of these

It’s that time of year again already! This April Fools’ Day, the brands have all lost their minds – here are the wildest April Fool’s pranks I’ve seen on the timeline.

Move over Victoria’s Secret – Lidl lingerie is here

A post shared by Lidl Romania (@lidlromania)

Starting strong, Lidl has dropped a lingerie collection featuring blue-and-yellow, red-and-blue, and even red-and-yellow colour combinations, with sexy lace and sheer fabric.  Lidl Romania shared this real and it already has 100k likes, with people in the comments begging for Lidl to take their money. Give the people what they want, @Lidl!

Fancy a slice of Terry’s Chocolate Orange on the go?

Well, you’re in luck! This April Fools ‘ Day, Terry’s shared the design for a Rhode-inspired phone case – except instead of lip gloss, there’s a slot for an emergency chocolate orange slice. The navy and orange design is kind of chic, but I’m concerned about how stale that chocolate orange slice would get in a phone case.

Not a fan of chocolate? Tesco’s got you covered with a massive boiled egg

@tesco

Introducing our new Giant Boiled Egg 💪 (April Fools btw 🥀 – but would you buy?)

♬ original sound – Tesco

This one actually makes my stomach turn. Easter is this Sunday, and of course that means eating as many Easter eggs as physically possible. But Tesco have released the prank egg of my literal nightmares with this jumbo boiled egg, Great source of protein I guess, but it definitely smells awful. No thanks!

Get a workout in just before your holiday on the Heathrow Express

As if the Heathrow Express isn’t overstimulating enough, they’ve now jokingly announced a gym on the train as a collab with PureGym, complete with dumbbells and benches. I guess it’s never too late to squeeze one last workout in before heading off for a bank holiday beach break.

Uggbrellas are here to save us from rainy season

via UGG

The weather in the UK is ridiculously unpredictable right now, but Ugg have come through to protect our boots from the relentless rain. These tiny Uggbrellas are waterproof and available in multicolour, chestnut or pink. Why do I kind of love them?

Adult trolley seats are coming to Asda

via Asda

Move over, children. Adult trolley seats are a thing now at your local Asda, which will make those big monthly shops so much easier. This is one of the April Fool’s pranks I genuinely wish was real, just out of pure laziness.

Um, Match Mayo is the cursed condiment of my nightmares

via Heinz

The matcha craze has reached a new high (low?) as Heinz have announced Matcha Mayo as their April Fool’s prank. So many questions about this. Would it be for sweet things or for savoury? Would you be able to taste the matcha grains? What would this smell like? Who is the market for this? I’m deeply uncomfortable.

Slim Chickens sauce tap is a thing now, I guess

via Slim Chickens x Victorian Plumbing

Continuing on the trend of condiments that nobody asked for, Slim Chickens and Victorian Plumbing have collaborated to bring Slim Sauce right into your bathtub. These sauce taps are for those of you who eat in the bath, for some reason.
