Gia’s secret past life with different names and attempts at fame before MAFS Australia

She’s had 12 different names?!

Gia is at the centre of drama on MAFS Australia 2026, but even before the show her life was very much like this. She’s lived a million lives, it would seem.

Before she was being called out for making awful comments about other brides, Gia Fleur was meeting celebs, attending red carpets, and launching a different career every week. She’s done it all.

Apparently, Gia has been trying to crack the showbiz industry for years. So, here’s a deep dive into all the ways she’s tried.

Gia had a very glam LA life before moving back to Australia

Gia used to live in LA, where she would brush shoulders with quite a few A-Listers. She is said to have attended red carpet events, high-profile parties, and built a bit of a name for herself.

When we first met Gia at the MAFS Australia 2026 hens, she declared that she’d once done Playboy. There are photos of her hanging out with Hugh Hefner, and partying at the famous mansion. She would apparently go there most weekends.

During this time, Gia has said to have 12 different names. Yes, really. Gia’s birth name is said to be Cassandra Lee Bassett. She then used Cassandra Lee as her Playboy name, and Cassandra Lee Gallo for other modelling jobs, too. She’s gone by Cassie as a nickname.

She has explained that getting rid of her birth name was for a very serious reason. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Gia said: “It’s a very sensitive topic, I actually changed my name because of a domestic violence situation I was in. It was a very dangerous situation and things have happened to me in my past. So people bringing that up as something to laugh about and joke about is not okay.”

She was in a music video before MAFS Australia

Gia was in the music video for French Montana and Nicki Minaj song Freaks, that was released a whole 13 years ago. In the video, there are loads of scenes of a big group dancing in a room. Gia is right at the back, but she is in the background a lot of times. She’s the blonde dancer, in a white vest top with a dark pink/red bra poking out.

Gia can be seen in her cameo busting moves on the dance floor, and throwing her arms around. She’s rocking a strong red lip and chunky gold jewellery, which combined with the bra hanging out, is very much giving 00s nostalgia.

Add a rap alter-ego to her list, too

Adding to her different names and dabbling in the music industry, Gia previously used the alter-ego name of Goldie Volpe whilst pursuing a rap career.

Someone on TikTok has *claimed* to have tracked down one of her songs. The voice in the audio can he heard rapping in an American accent, using the n-word.

Gia has been trying to get cast on TV for a while

Gia has apparently tried to “reinvent” herself multiple times over the years, in an attempt to chase a career in modelling, acting and entertainment.

“Gia always wanted to be famous,” a source told Woman’s Day. “She has been trying to crack it for years, trying her hand at everything from acting, modelling, singing, pageants, dancer, and even pursuing a rap career at one point. So it’s no surprise to me that she ended up on MAFS.”

She has a profile on a casting website, under the name Cassandra lee Gallo, or “Princess Cassandra”. On it, she said: “I’m an eccentric and outgoing 19-year-old girl whose dream since the fresh age of five is to be at the top of this industry in modelling all areas whether they be catwalk or photographic genres.

“I’m an extremely reliable person and am very keen for work you will not have to worry about me being late or unprofessional. I bring a fresh and happy smile with me wherever I go. I am passionate about what I do.”

Gia also wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret model

On the same profile, Gia expressed a wish to one day be a Victoria’s Secret model. She explained: “I can do anything from glamorous lingerie shoots to bikini shoots or high fashion. More experience and variety the better in my point of view.”
