Former model Kelly Brook shares heartbreaking reminder ahead of I’m A Celeb shower scenes

Before she entered the I’m A Celeb jungle this year, Kelly Brook shared a heartbreaking message to people who watch the series. 

Kelly Brook got her big break as a model. She was in lots of advertising campaigns and was also a Daily Star page three girl. But now, at 45, she wants everyone to know she isn’t the same person anymore.

 “Obviously, I am not a 20-year-old bikini model anymore. You know, life changes and your body changes,” she said in an interview with the Daily Mirror. 

“And I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now, and not comparing me to how I used to look.”

A big part of I’m A Celeb is the infamous shower scenes. Contestants shower in their bikinis or swimming shorts, and these moments, especially in the early days, would go super viral. Ahead of her inevitable shower scenes, Kelly wanted to remind people that she’s changed, and comparing her now to her modelling days isn’t helpful. 

“You know, I am a very different person. I am older, but I am still strong and I am still fit, and that is the most important thing.”

She added: “I am 46, I embrace my curves. I embrace my body. I ran a marathon this year….so I am proud of that.”

Kelly quit modelling a few years back after 20 years in the industry, as she was getting bored with appealing to the “male gaze”.

She told The Sun on Sunday: “It’s very hard having been a bikini model all through my 20s, and then you hit 30 and they still want me to do calendars. I’m just not there for the male gaze any more. I’m married and I’m very happy being in my 40s.”

After a super successful career as a model, actress and TV presenter, Kelly Brook’s net worth is now £7.5 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
