MAFS UK expert Paul directly calls out the cast members blaming ‘the edit’ for toxic behaviour
Ouch!
MAFS UK expert Paul C Brunson has called out cast members who constantly blame the show’s “edit” for their behaviour. Every year, without fail, cast members will get called out for things they said on the show, and will be quick to say it’s just how the show was edited. Accountability is not in the room with us.
But now, during an interview, Paul has slammed anyone who tries this, and said the edit can’t make them say things they didn’t actually say. Louder, Paul!
Paul joined Capital Breakfast, and was asked what the one thing cast members “always get wrong” on the show is, and he said: “You cannot blame the edit for what you say and how you show up. You know what I mean?”.

He then added: “You can blame the edit and say I did say all of these things that were not included, absolutely. But you can’t blame the edit for what you say and how you show up. What I say to so many people is be your authentic self. Don’t come as a fabricated version, don’t try to play a role, be yourself.”
So far, loads of MAFS UK 2025 cast members have been vocal about their editing. Off the back of partner swap week, both Steven and April tried to say scenes had been edited and cut to make their time together look more flirty, and Grace has been open about feeling as though she’s been edited badly.

“You barely see any of it… I trust the viewers will be alert and vigilant to this while watching,” she said of her edit. Speaking to Indigo Reports, Keye has also spoken out. He said: “I think the edit can take bits out, the edit can move things around, but the edit can’t put things into your mouth.”
Bailey agreed: “I don’t think the edit can make you look something you’re not. I think it just exaggerates a little bit what you are. If you’re a nice person, you’ll come across as a nice person.”
