April and Steven desperately list cut MAFS scenes to prove their partner swap wasn’t flirty
Not Steven making a parody magazine page about partner swap week…
April Holmes and Steven Springett definitely seemed to enjoy partner swap week on MAFS UK… possibly a bit too much. Nelly (and plenty of MAFS viewers) have accused them of flat-out flirting. April and Steven are scrambling to post evidence that MAFS viewers have got this all wrong, and partner swap week didn’t go down how they think. You can make your own minds up about the strength of some of these arguments x
On MAFS, Nelly expressed she’d be upset if Steven cooked for April, as he apparently rarely did this for her. Steven then proceeded to make April breakfast in bed. Many MAFS viewers were pretty unimpressed with this.
Nelly: “I’ll be upset if you cook for April”
Steven: *makes April breakfast in bed*

Steven took to Instagram to inform the nation that MAFS viewers were missing some crucial context about Nelly’s breakfast preferences. He wrote: “I never made breakfast in bed for Nelly because she never ate breakfast. She’d always have about three cups of tea to start the day. But, I did on the odd occasion, pick up a spinach and feta pastry for her during my morning walks. Oh, and I did treat her a bit of brunch at Bread Ahead Bakery before.”

Steven went as far as to put together a parody newspaper or magazine page for “No1CaresNews”, seemingly to make the point that his interactions with April are being blown way out of proportion.

Side point, but I’m very impressed with the graphic design skills

He also alluded to two parts of partner swap week that didn’t make it into the final edit. Apparently he and April also played golf together, which was “a good laugh”. He claims he, April, Abi and Ashleigh needed to belly dance six times until the crew had a good shot.
Meanwhile, April attempted to change people’s perceptions of her by uploading a table of “facts” and “myths” about partner swap week. She wrote in the “facts” column: “Me and Steven had multiple serious conversations about our relationships which helped us both.”
The “myths” include that “Leo paid for everything” and that she and Steven “looked longingly into each other’s eyes”. April claims she did “have Nelly’s back”, but this convo didn’t make the final edit. She also insisted she didn’t lead Leo on, writing “I was clearly very open with Leo, the experts and everyone how I was feeling”.
