Here’s which Gilmore Girls character your Uni of Birmingham freshers’ accommodation is

Rory Gilmore screams Tennis Courts

October quickly rolls around, and as the new academic year begins to take its toll on Birmingham uni students, what better show to watch than Gilmore Girls?

Pumpkins, coffee, and academic stress pretty much sum up the series, so an evening binge-watch helps to create that home-from-home feeling. But each Gilmore Girls character undoubtedly represents a first year accommodation, and there’s only one right answer as to who should be placed where.

Rory Gilmore – Tennis Courts

Gilmore Girls: 10 Worst Parties, Ranked

via Netflix

This is a shout for the “end of Yale,” since Rory will always be in the middle of whatever’s happening — and in Tennis Courts, something baffling always is. Still, it’s close to campus, (occasionally) quiet, and very sociable.

Lorelai Gilmore – Mason

Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days | Gilmore Girls | Woman in Revolt

via Netflix

Of course, Lorelai Gilmore would be staying in Mason. The accommodation is known for always hosting pres, having the biggest personalities, and being incredibly close to Shackleton for all those coffee trips.

Paris Geller – Bournbrook

Paris and her Problems – The Annotated Gilmore Girls

via Netflix

Bournbrook is incredibly close to campus, and Paris Geller would not be seen anywhere else – it’s perfect for those late-night study sessions in the library. Plus, an en-suite and a large desk are necessary, because she won’t be sharing with anyone else.

Emily and Richard Gilmore – Chamberlain

If you had to pick either Emily or Richard as a parent, whom would you pick and why? : r/GilmoreGirls

via Netflix

With its sleek, modern design, Chamberlain is famously the priciest accommodation on the Vale — and naturally, Emily and Richard wouldn’t settle for anything less. They’d almost certainly opt for catering too; those long, narrow kitchens just wouldn’t meet their standards. You’d be snatching up their Friday night dinner invite in Shackleton.

Sookie St James – Aitken

via Netflix

Aitken may be the most wholesome of flats, and Sookie’s cooking means no one is missing out on the home-cooked classics. Pesto pasta would be banned and replaced with extensive (and, of course, delicious) meals to fight through any homesickness. The large Aitken kitchens will be just the place!

Michel Gerard – Battery Park

Gilmore Girls' Michel Was Originally Going To Be A Much Older Character

via Netflix

Although a longer walk to campus, Michel would definitely reside in a Battery Park studio because it’s clean, modern and, most importantly, he wouldn’t have to share with anyone else.  The adjacent canal would also give him perfect access to walk Chin-Chin and Paw-Paw.

Luke Danes – Jarratt Hall

Gilmore Girls' Luke's Diner Takes Over Austin Coffee Shops | Eater Austin

via Netflix

Independent, close, convenient, and one of the cheaper options. This sums up Jaratt Hall and definitely Luke Danes. He would be serving coffee to all and cooking up the heartiest of breakfasts before those 9ams.

Logan Huntzberger – Chamberlain

It’s a certainty that Logan would be Emily and Richard’s next-door neighbours in Chamberlain. Although Logan will be hosting “prinks” (pre-drinks) with his closest friends using only the best M&S champagne and canapes, and all students from the floor will be begging for an invite (and maybe a Birkin bag, or two).
