As James Charles buys Percy Pigs in M&S, here are the five most rogue celeb trips to the UK

Watch out everyone — there’s been another celeb trip to the UK. This time, it’s James Charles. The YouTuber is currently on another trip with his British influencer bestie Cal Edwards, and they’re doing what any tourist worth their passport does: Eating their way through the British high street.

In Cal’s recent video, he takes James to the sacred ground that is Wetherspoons. James ordered the new spice bag, a pizza, and a fish and chips — and apparently, that spice bag changed his life. He rated the whole thing 10/10 “for the spice bag alone”. High praise.

But it doesn’t stop there. In James’s own video, he hit up none other than Marks & Spencer, saying: “Last time I was in the UK my friend Cal took me to Greggs and now I’m going to M&S. I really wanna try the Percy Pigs, and my manager loves the dips.”

An iconic combo if there ever was one. So far, we haven’t seen James’ M&S haul review, but the people have thoughts. One comment begged him to hit up the Lidl bakery next, while another insisted he must go to Primark.

It honestly feels a bit illegal for James Charles to be roaming around Manchester, but it’s not his first British adventure. Earlier this year, he toured London, visited Buckingham Palace, and reviewed Greggs — ordering a chicken bake, a sausage roll, and a pepperoni pizza slice. He gave them all glowing reviews. But James isn’t the only celeb who’s popped up in random British spots. There’s something so surreal about seeing global megastars in our slightly crusty corners of the UK, so here are five of the weirdest celeb trips to Britain.

1. Kim Kardashian having a pint of Guinness in a pub

Back in 2023, Kim Kardashian celebrated St Patrick’s Day in London and was actually photographed drinking pints of Guinness in a proper pub. The photos went instantly viral — people couldn’t cope with how casual she looked, sitting among locals like an “average girlie”.

One tweet summed it up perfectly: “How’s my mate just bumped into Kim K at the boozer???”

The internet lost it, and to be fair, so would I if I turned around in the pub and Kim Kardashian was just there sipping a pint and a baby Guinness shot.

2. Jeffree Star… in Wigan

Yes. WIGAN. Back in 2020, Jeffree Star was spotted posing by the tracks in a full Gucci tracksuit — in Wigan. On purpose. Nobody knows why he was there, but rumours suggest he was travelling to Glasgow with makeup artist Made By Mitchell and just… ended up in Wigan for some reason.

Apparently, he even stopped by a local pie shop. A cultural experience, truly.

3. Trisha Paytas vs. Greggs

Another day, another chaotic Trisha Paytas mukbang. Earlier this year, Trisha was in London trying British classics: Domino’s, fish and chips (she hated the mushy peas, obviously), and McDonald’s. But the Greggs review was not a hit.

After ordering a chicken bake and cheese bites, she took one bite, made a face, and said: “No… they’re cold!”

She then shoved them back in the bag and declared defeat. She ended the video ordering McDonald’s instead. To be fair, she did it to herself — who goes to Greggs and doesn’t get a sausage roll?

4. JoJo Siwa skydiving in Basingstoke

You couldn’t make this up. JoJo Siwa, from Dance Moms and Celebrity Big Brother, shocked people from Hampshire when she showed up at iFly in Basingstoke to go indoor skydiving.

She even said in her Snapchat: “It’s just a gorgeous day here in Basingstoke. It’s my new stomping grounds.”

Locals were understandably baffled. People were asking: Did she come all the way to Basingstoke just to skydive? Did she pop into Milestones Museum after? We may never know.

5. Justin Bieber at a chippy in St Andrews

And finally, the most wholesome of them all. Justin Bieber recently stopped by a fish and chip shop in St Andrews, apparently while visiting for golf.

He ordered five portions of haddock and chips and serenaded staff by singing the menu out loud. No one knows if he actually enjoyed the food, but the owner did confirm he was “very charming and nice”.

James Charles buying Percy Pigs might feel chaotic, but at least he’s in good company. If Kim K can down a Guinness and Jeffree Star can pose in Wigan, then James can absolutely live his best M&S life.
