MAFS UK’s Nelly reveals exactly what made her forgive Steven after his explosive outburst

Nelly from MAFS UK has spoken out in a lengthy Instagram statement revealing exactly why she decided to forgive Steven after he lashed out.

People are calling out the MAFS groom online after he shouted and swore at his wife for confronting him after he supposedly bragged to the guys about hooking up with a woman from the dating app Raya two weeks before the experiment.

At the time, Nelly was at home with a broken rib, and Julia-Ruth said he should have been at home with her rather than bragging about his sex life on a night out.

Nelly shockingly forgave him at the commitment ceremony, and she has now revealed it’s because he “assured her that wasn’t the real him”. In a statement, Steven claimed his stepdad being unwell is what caused him to act out of character.

“This last commitment ceremony was a difficult one for us. Although I hated seeing Steven cry, it was the first time I’d seen him show me a more emotional side. Seeing that other side to him wasn’t easy – and it came after behaviour that no one should ever have to tolerate in a marriage,” she wrote on Instagram.

“But he assured me that it wasn’t the real him. That the real Steven was the one I met on our wedding day, the one I grew close to on our honeymoon, and I didn’t want to throw something potentially magical away.”

Seeing that vulnerable side gave me hope that maybe, just maybe, we could build again and find our way back to where we were just a couple of weeks ago. I chose to stay, and to show up for our marriage.”

Nelly added that this is her “staying honest to the process” and sharing how she truly felt in that moment. However, people in the comments are saying Steven definitely didn’t deserve a second chance and she deserves so much more.
