An influencer has died during his own livestream, after his ultralight helicopter crashed and burst into flames. Over 1,000 people are believed to have been watching Tang Feiji fly his aircraft when the shocking sudden crash happened.
Tang Feiji was an aviation influencer and content creator, and often shared his flying videos. To some, he was known as “Tang Airplane”. When the crash happened, the 55-year-old had been on a flight around the countryside of Jiange province in China. This happened on Saturday (September 27th).
The crash happened on a twin-rotor ultralight helicopter, when it suddenly began to nosedive. Those watching the livestream saw as Tang tried to stabilise it, but it hit the ground. The helicopter then burst into a huge fireball. People in the comments then began urging each other to phone emergency services.
Authorities arrived, but he was announced dead at the scene. As of right now, it’s been reported his channel has been switched to private. He had about 100,000 followers on the Chinese social media platform, Douyin.
