D4vd’s label cancels promotion of his music as investigation into body in his Tesla continues
A deluxe version of his album was set to release today – it’s now been indefinitely suspended
The record label who D4vd releases his music under has cancelled all promotion of his music as the investigation continues into the body of 15 year old Celeste Rivas was found in a Tesla registered to the singer. Interscope has apparently completely put a stop to all promotion and release of the singer’s music as the investigation into the situation continues. Last week, the Tesla was reported to authorities after “a foul odour” was coming from the abandoned car – discovered to be owned by D4vd. Whilst initially the singer’s spokesperson confirmed that D4vd was fully cooperating with authorities and he continued to perform his scheduled tour dates, after the body was confirmed to be 15 year old missing person Celeste Rivas, D4vd cancelled his performance that night. Now, the record label is halting promotion and release on any more music until further details are established.
D4vd had music due out today
This article is being written on Friday 19th September – the day D4vd was meant to drop the deluxe version of his album Withered, which originally released April of this year. The tour date D4vd was set to perform on Wednesday was cancelled, too. According to TMZ, UMG, Sony Music, Interscope and Wasserman have cancelled all promotional plans related to his music due to the seriousness of the situation.
However, also according to TMZ the upcoming tour dates are apparently set to continue, as per the comment the publication received yesterday. This includes a performance on Saturday at the Los Angeles Greek Theatre and one for tonight in San Francisco. It’s unclear if tonight will go ahead but tickets remain on sale.

The investigation is continuing
The Los Angeles Police Department came across the body on September 8 when people phoned in complaining of a “foul odour” from a vehicle in a tow yard. The car had reportedly been in the tow yard for a few days, with the body stashed in the front boot inside a bag. D4vd’s representative told NBC that he “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.” Crocs and Hollister soon removed advertising campaigns featuring D4vd “with respect” for the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have confirmed to ABC News a search warrant was executed in a house in the Hollywood Hills that D4vd does not own but had been staying in. No arrests or suspects have been named yet, as the sources confirmed it has become difficult to identify the cause of death.
TMZ is claiming law enforcement sources told the publication that they did a 12 hour search of the home, and used luminol to search for traces of blood. The publication says a computer was seized alongside hair samples.
The search comes after it was reported that D4vd and Celeste Rivas allegedly have the exact same tattoo of “shhh…” on their right index finger. There was also a leaked D4vd song recorded in 2024 that leaked on Wednesday which names someone called Celeste in the lyrics.
