There’s a curse: There have been three Love Island breakups all in just the last week
Wait, what?!
Guys, we’re in a pretty cursed Love Island era right now. Everyone is breaking up and I don’t know how to feel about it. In just the last week alone, three couples have said it’s all over. Do we need to do something about this?
From actual winners ending things, to bombshells saying they tried to make things work but couldn’t. Here’s a rundown of us living in Love Island splitsville, and all the breakups there have been this week. It makes for pretty bleak reading.
Millie and Liam
Of course, the big news of the week is that former Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon are all over. Many of us thought after the pair got back together following a previous split, they were endgame.
A source told The Sun: “Millie and Liam have tried so hard to make their relationship work. But unfortunately, the distance was just too difficult, and they have sadly ended their relationship for a second time. Obviously, they’ve worked things out before, so friends are hoping this might just be a blip as it’s all still very fresh. But right now they are spending time apart. Everyone who loves them hopes they can work it out.”
According to an insider, it was Liam who initiated the breakup. “[He] just wasn’t feeling it towards the end, and it was he who instigated the breakup. Millie is gutted but is being a trouper and getting on with life, supported by her girls,” they told MailOnline.

Ella B from the 2023 villa has just broken up from her entrepreneur boyfriend, after a year together. She was dating Neil Farrugia, whose exes include Gemma Owen. Apparently, the pair struggled to find time to see each other. Ella is based in Kent, whilst Neil lives in Malta.
A source told The Sun: “Ella and Neil had some amazing times together, but in the end they found it too difficult to make their relationship work long distance. They didn’t have any hard feelings, but realised it was too tough to make it work in the long-run.
“They’re both still young and have plenty of opportunities ahead of them. They’ve wiped their Instagram accounts of pictures together and unfollowed each other – which has made the split official.”

Let’s round off the week of Love Island breakups. Just when we thought 2025 villa drama was going quiet, it’s been revealed dumped Islanders Shea and Caprice have ended things. Shea and Caprice were dating after they both got dumped from the show, but that is no more. They had looked pretty loved up, attending movie premieres together.
In a Q&A, Shea spoke of what happened. He said: “We were seeing each other at one point, but we are not anymore.” Ouch.
