‘Law enforcement worker’ reveals ‘truth’ about what ‘most likely’ happened to Amy Bradley

It’s the most realistic theory

Following Netflix’s new documentary Amy Bradley Is Missing, someone who claims they work in law enforcement has weighed in on what most likely happened to the missing woman.

The 23-year-old disappeared while on a Caribbean cruise with her parents and brother in 1998, and nobody knows what happened to her over 27 years on.

There are all kinds of theories on her whereabouts, which are based on various pieces of evidence that have been accumulated over the years. However, in a Reddit post titled “The truth about what most likely happened and why from a person with experience in law enforcement,” someone has explained that Amy most likely fell overboard. And here’s why.

“The first thing I would like to point out is that for someone to come in and take Amy isn’t really possible. Anyone entering the rooms is recorded due to the key card access needed to get into the rooms. Leaving the only option for Amy ever exiting the room to be her leaving on her own,” they said.

“Well, if this is the case why leave behind all her personal belongings including the normal essentials that people have on them everyday to include her purse, shoes, etc. I would also like to point out that she would have needed to leave the tiny room without waking anyone. With the size of the room it’s unlikely that a person, likely still intoxicated, would have came through the room and left without making a sound.”

The next argument that she fell overboard concerns the state of the room. Amy’s shirt was on a chair just inside the door, and a table from the balcony was moved. However, there was “no sign of a struggle and nothing else suspicious”. On top of that, the ship had cameras, and not a single one captured Amy outside of her room after getting back for the night.

So, the Reddit user claimed what most likely happened is that Amy removed her shirt and leaned over the side of the rail to be sick, because she had been out drinking. However, she fell overboard while everyone else was sleeping. Alternatively, Amy could have  jumped off the ship on purpose.

“Amy’s dad is awoken when he hears her fall overboard but doesn’t actually fully wake up. When Amy’s dad wakes up in the morning and finds she isn’t on the balcony, and recalls being awoken earlier in the morning, he realizes what happened which is why his panic is immediate,” the Reddit user explained.

The law enforcment worker went on to discuss the lack of evidence there is to suggest anything else happened to her, saying: “Without the photos of the sex worker thought to be Amy, you have nothing.” The images do resemble the missing woman, but there is still no proof that it is her.

Speaking about the witnesses who claim to have sighted Amy, the Reddit user added: “As someone who interviews witnesses daily, the amount of detail and information these witnesses claim to recall about their interactions with Amy is just unrealistic.”

“You are talking things that happened years and years ago that were insignificant enough for them not to notify anyone yet they are claiming to recall vivid details. It just doesn’t happen that way. The witnesses are either lying or misremembering the interactions that they had due to confirmation bias. The ones misremembering, I’m sure actually do believe they saw Amy, but they did not.”

“The conclusion is again zero actual evidence of Amy ever leaving that balcony anyway other than failing off or jumping off. Very sad situation and my heart aches for the friends and family. I pray that Amy is at peace,” they concluded.

Sadly, 70% to 80% of people who fall overboard are never recovered, so there is every possibility this theory could be true. However, what truly happened to Amy remains a mystery.
