‘I found it bizarre’: Dejon’s ex from before Love Island issues warning to Meg
She dated him just before he went into the villa
People have been complaining about Love Island’s Dejon Noel-Williams for weeks, and now one of his exes has cautioned his current girlfriend after experiencing a touch of déjà vu.
Dejon has been pretty consistently coupled up with Megan Moore on season 12 of Love Island, but that isn’t to say their relationship has not been dragged through a bush. Scandals, secrets, and snakery have left people with a sour taste in their mouths, many of whom have taken to Twitter with complaints.
“It’s been a decade of me watching Love Island, and I genuinely don’t think anyone has ever triggered me just by existing as much as Dejon has,” one person said.
Another wrote on Twitter: “Dejon cannot make Meg feel special without putting the other women down, and it’s because he’s not attracted to her. He doesn’t even respect her.”
If there’s a person who can confirm our red flag suspicions, it’s one of his exes, and as if by magic, one has exposed Dejon as someone who is “hot and cold.”

Georgia Mercer, 27, dated Dejon in the months before he joined Love Island. Their relationship only lasted three months, but she’s now spoken to The Mirror about her experience of dating Dejon after meeting him online.
“It was pretty quick to be fair… after about two weeks or so we went on a date,” she recalled.

“In person, he made me feel super comfortable. I always felt really chill with him. He had a really warm energy when we were together. That’s the part I liked about him – I didn’t feel anxious, which I usually do around new people. It was a strong eight on the feeling scale, to be fair. Over text, it was different. He’d try and call me at random times and I’d be like, ‘I don’t know what you think this is, but… I’m not trying to be casual.’”
The jilted ex described Dejon as “really hot and cold” during their relationship, ignoring her one minute and demanding attention the next, which she described as “quite bizarre.”
After a few months together, Georgia didn’t feel right about the relationship and tried to dump him – emphasis on tried.

“I sent him a message saying, ‘If it doesn’t feel like you’re serious, this isn’t really gonna work,’” she said. “He said, ‘Let’s talk on the phone,’ but he wanted to do it at 11 at night. I was like, no – and then he just carried on the next day as though nothing happened. I was like, are you just ignoring that big piece of information?”
She did finally manage to get the breakup in his head, but he returned via text a few weeks later with the almost cliché “Hi, how are you.” Are you up must have been taken.
“I don’t think he’s great at communication,” she added.

It must be strange to see one of your former flames on reality TV, and while that certainly seems to be the case, Georgia saw a little bit of herself in Meg.
She explained: “When you’re there in person, he’s full-on, very affectionate. But when you step back or ask something serious, it’s like he’s not really listening – or he just avoids it completely.
“There were moments where I thought he was being honest – and maybe he was – but then you realise later, it’s just easier for him to not say how he feels. I said to him once, ‘I’m also very chill, just be honest.’ But he won’t, because then I’m not going to stick around.”
Ultimately, Georgia doesn’t know whether Dejon and Meg are the real deal, because “that’s the thing with Dejon, you never really know.”
