Right, what’s the deal with Doja Cat beefing with ‘musty a*s shirt’ guy who ‘manhandled’ her?

He’s now launched a new line of shirts with Doja’s tweet on

The internet has been flooded with armchair expert opinions, out-of-context screenshots, and countless so-called deleted tweets after Doja Cat slammed a dude who gave her a “musty a*s” shirt.

Doja Cat has never been a celebrity to mince her words, and if you think she’s above beefing with us commoners because of her celebrity status, you’ve got another thing coming. Case and point, the Pablo Tamayo shirt drama. In typical fashion, Twitter has flip-flopped between opinions, so here’s what actually happened and what both sides of the argument have said.

This very messy and somewhat eye-roll worthy saga was birthed when Pablo Tamayo posted a TikTok about giving his shirt to Doja Cat. In a video that has since recieved 25.6 million views and 4.4 million likes, Pablo said, “I’m about to give my shirt to Doja Cat because she’s the iconic girl.”

He then took off his “Hot Boys Kiss Boys” shirt to give to Doja Cat, who thanked him as they talked about her real name being Amala. It was very huggy and kissy, so where’s the beef, I hear you ask?

Right, here’s where things get a little bit wild because a full week after the interaction happened, Doja Cat dragged the content creator in since-deleted Twitter posts.

“Bottom line is I’ll smile at you but it doesn’t mean I fuck w you and don’t touch me and man handle me when you don’t even fuckin know me. Iykyk,” she said in one post, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“I honestly think I need to stand up for myself in the moment sometimes. And he didn’t even know my fuckin name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy.”

In another post, she allegedly added: “I threw that musty ass shirt away btw.”

At this point, a large majority of Twitter was pretty much on Doja Cat’s side, with many accusing Pablo of invading her space without consent.

Pablo himself later added context to the viral clip, exposing interactions from before the video started rolling: “I just want to clear this up, because it hurts. I saw her at Coachella, and I never claimed to be the biggest fan.”

Apparently, Doja Cat approached him first because she loved his top, a design from Pablo’s own collection, previously worn by influencers such as Harry Jowsey and Carter Gregory. She said, “I want one right now”, and then the video played out as we saw on TikTok.

“I understand, guys, if I was being too nice. I’ll take full accountability. I’m gay! I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable. She’s so iconic,” he said, and as for her Twitter posts, “I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know if this is for publicity or for whatever, guys, but I would’ve never wanted to make her uncomfortable.”

Though Doja Cat is yet to respond to Pablo’s reaction, he has continued to post jab after jab on Instagram and TikTok. He claimed he was in his “villain era” in one post, and in another, he questioned why she took the shirt if it smelled musty. He also launched a new piece of clothing with “Musty A*s Shirt” written on the front, for the grand total of $28.

It’s yet to be seen whether Doja Cat will respond to Pablo’s cutting reply or purchase his new line of shirts.
