Chilling video of Air India plane hours before crash shows ‘unusual things’ passenger noticed

Nothing was working on the flight

A passenger who travelled on the same Air India plane hours before it crashed has shared some videos he filmed showing that things didn’t seem quite right.

Akash Vatsa was on the previous flight from Delhi to Ahmedabad, which landed that morning. The same plane was then flying to London Gatwick.

I was in the same damn flight two hours before it took off from AMD. I came in this from DEL-AMD. Noticed unusual things in the place,” he wrote on X.

The passenger filmed the videos before takeoff and was planning to send them to Air India to complain as nothing was working on the flight.

In the clips, you can see him tapping the screen, clicking all the buttons on the remote and trying to turn on the air-con, but nothing is happening.

“The AC is not working at all. As usual, their TV screens are also not working, neither is the button to call the cabin crew,” he says in the video.

“Nothing is working, nothing. Not even the light is working,” the passenger continues.

A photo of the plane proves it is exactly the same Boeing 787 Dreamliner that he was travelling on, with the registration number “VT-ANB”.

He also shared a picture of his boarding pass to prove that he was on the flight from Delhi to Ahmedabad that same morning.

However, there is no proof that the broken screens, air-con, lights and buttons on the plane had anything to do with the crash and the cause is still being investigated.

It’s impossible to know what caused the crash at this stage, but the plane’s black box has been recovered, which records all the flight data. This will be the key to finding out what happened.

Sadly, only one passenger survived of the 242 people on board, a British man called Vishwashkumar Ramesh who miraculously escaped through the emergency exit.
