This is the adorable reason JoJo Siwa denied she was dating Chris Hughes for so long

For weeks, JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes denied they were dating, even though it was pretty obvious they were an item – and now we know why.
The pair insisted they were just close friends for ages after leaving the Big Brother House, saying they were just “platonic soulmates” when asked about their relationship status.
Even when they went on holiday to Mexico together and shared some cosy snaps on Instagram, the pair still didn’t tell anyone they were dating.
Now, a source has told the MailOnline JoJo kept quiet because she wasn’t actually sure if Chris liked her back, and wanted to make sure he felt the same way. How sweet!
“I’m not sure why she ever denied the fact that they are dating, she’s mad about him,” the insider said. “Literally head over heels, maybe she wanted to know it was as true to him as it was for her.”
“Her parents are all in for JoJo’s happiness and see Chris as someone very special and are eager to see where it all goes.”
“They fully support their daughter’s decision. JoJo has grown up before our eyes, and will jump into things with both feet, so her friends aren’t surprised that she is acting this way with Chris,” they continued.
The source revealed that nobody close to the couple cares about the big age gap or the fact that they are rushing things, adding: “Everyone just wants to see JoJo happy.”
According to them, JoJo has also been thinking of writing songs about her relationship with Chris,” so they’re obviously very serious about each other.

JoJo didn’t confirm they were dating until earlier this week, when she told The Guardian: “It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection.”
“I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way,” she added. “I won’t ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.”
