MAFS Australia 2025 bride reveals the experiment has left her with ‘severe’ PTSD

She said it affects her ‘daily’ in so many ways

The MAFS Australia 2025 cast members have all got their social media profiles back, and one bride has sadly claimed she has post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the experiment.

Sierah Swepstone left the reality TV show around half way through after things didn’t work out with her husband Billy Belcher, and part of her wishes she’d never done the show at all due to the impact it’s had on her mental health.

In a post on her Instagram story, Sierah said: “If I knew that I would be treated like my life didn’t matter, I obviously never would have done it because it’s left me with PTSD.”

The 31-year-old opened up about the many ways the PTSD has affected her, including giving her “ruminations that consume my mind daily,” severe anxiety, weight loss, loss of appetite and making her drink more alcohol.

She also said she’s experiencing social withdrawal, difficulty falling asleep and regularly wakes up in the middle of the night from nightmares.

“But I don’t like saying that I regret something because I can’t take it back. I try to be optimistic and maintain belief that everything happens for a reason and I just haven’t found my reason yet,” she added.

“I’ll continue slaying as much as possible day by day until I can see the greater purpose in everything.”

At the start of the experiment, it seemed like things were going great for Sierah and Billy, but things hit breaking point between them after Sierah played footsies with Adrian under the table, which she has now denied.

They both voted to leave at the next commitment ceremony, where Billy said: “All I’ve ever wanted was a deeper connection, and I’ve gotten nothing. How many weeks are we in now? I’ve tried to give you what you needed, but you don’t give me what I need.”
