Awhina revealed the fakest person in the MAFS Australia cast, and it wasn’t even Jacqui

MAFS Australia’s Awhina Rutene has been answering questions from viewers, revealing the fakest member of the MAFS Australia cast, the effect the show had on her life, and the lifelong friendships she made along the way.

Just this last week, Awhina got into it with Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice after she was asked which two cast members she would have matched together. She put Jacqui with her ex, Adrian Araouzou, which sparked a lot of pushback from reality TV’s most jarring couple.

Naturally, I thought Awhina was going to name and shame Jacqui again when asked for the fakest cast member, after all, it’s an accusation Jacqui has been forced to contend with all season. But silly me, I forgot that MAFS Australia season 12 was full of fakers.

Who did Awhina think was the fakest MAFS cast member?

In an Instagram story Q&A this week, when someone asked who the fakest member of the MAFS cast was, Awhina replied with zero words and just a picture of Sierah Swepstone.

Though it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when the beef between Awhina and Sierah started, you could track it back to the latter’s supposed affair with the former’s husband, Adrian. Adrian and Sierah were involved in a pretty major axed storyline that saw them grow closer. There was reportedly a sex-tape scandal, and some footsie under the table, but they constantly maintained they were just friends. Things came to an explosive finale during the reunion, with Sierah and Awhina hashing it out and referencing some pretty damning text messages Sierah sent to Adrian about his wife.

“Yeah, but it doesn’t matter if you’ve said it to people like Billy and Awhina or any of those nasty c*nts, even after I left they will absolutely come at me with at the dinner party. Seriously, I have to get it off my chest how angry I am at you for the way I was treated when I was there,” one portion of the messages read, which were actually leaked by Awhina’s sister, Cleo.

“Everything everyone had a problem with me revolved around the fact I was mates with you, and it often came from your mouth.”

She said she “hated” both Adrian and Awhina after the mess, going as far as to say Awhina’s hair was a “tacky weave.”

Then there’s the Billy Belcher aspect of the messy drama. Though they too have maintained just being friends, Awhina and Billy grew incredibly close both on and off the show.

MAFS Australia might be over, but this drama might be more entertaining than the eight weeks of chaos combined.
