Phoenix is beefing with Ice Spice after her brutal comments guest judging on Drag Race

‘I’m fine not getting validation from someone whose fame came from a song about sh*tting and farting’

All Stars 10 finally started over the weekend, and if those first episodes are anything to go by we’re in for an amazing season – what a cast! The first two episodes did such a good job of introducing us to the new rules, and one of the greatest things about this season is that queens who left early on their season are back and getting to showcase their drag and how much it’s elevated since the show. One of the most fun examples of this is Phoenix – who first starred on season three all the way back in 2011 and left second. However, a clip has gone viral from the Drag Race AS10 premiere when guest judge Ice Spice gave some very brutal feedback to Phoenix that had people – including Phoenix – gagged, and now Phoenix has responded beefing with Ice on her Instagram story.

Here’s the messy saga!

Brutal

Ice Spice says to Phoenix from the judges panel “I hear that you’re a legendary icon, but tonight I don’t think I would have been able to tell with how shy you were.”

Phoenix was gagged, and in her confessional said “Okay, yep, great. Smiling on.”

After the episode aired, Phoenix put out a statement

Phoenix wrote on her Instagram regarding the Ice Spice Drag Race drama “Also I appreciate the love from everyone about the Ice Spice comment. I’ll comment more and tell the funny part of this later. But trust me when I say my 25 years of experience and decades of contributing to my community is what makes me an icon.

“Not there minutes on a TV show. That being said, I’m perfectly fine not getting ‘icon’ validation from someone whose ‘fame’ has come from one song about sh*tting and farting.”

That savage final line is in reference to the hit Ice Spice single Think U The Sh*t (Fart).
