‘He was extremely possessive’: TWO of Adrian’s exes outside of MAFS have spoken out

Not one but two of Adrian Araouzou’s exes have spoken to So Dramatic about their experiences with the MAFS Australia groom. Though starkly different and unsubstantiated claims, the new interview does not paint him in a good light.

Since perhaps as early as episode one, people have been calling out Adrian’s glaringly obvious red flags in his marriage to Awhina Rutene. He was involved in MULTIPLE cheating scandals, got into it with his former bestie Jasmin, and seemed to drag Awhina along for the ride despite not having any intentions of making the relationship work.

Now, after his alleged exes have come forward, Adrian’s redemption is looking less and less likely.

One of Adrian’s exes from before MAFS said he was ‘possessive’

Geneva, who briefly dated Adrian when season 12 of MAFS started airing in Australia, has spoken out in a very messy interview with So Dramatic’s Megan Pustetto. Geneva told So Dramatic that she met Adrian on New Year’s Eve, and he was almost instantly “very possessive and clingy” despite them only having met that very same evening.

“Like he had his arm around my neck, and like I kind of feel like I was making a bit of a joke about it last time I talked about it,” she said. “But like it was, I specifically remember it being a very tight grip, which I was playing off at the time because like he was a friend of my friend who I did trust.”

Geneva felt like she was put in a “dangerous situation here” because mutual friends knew of Adrian’s past and the domestic abuse charges from looming, something he has always denied. “Any suggestion of physical assault is categorically denied,” Adrian said through lawyers at the time.

“He was being extremely possessive. He was showing his control that night. He would not let me out of his arms when I was clearly kind of like, I was trying to dance, and I could not get out of his grip. And he was behaving in a certain way,” she added. “Anytime I would try to speak to anybody else, he would show those kinds of controlling, possessive behaviours.”

Though Adrian insisted that he and Geneva go back to his apartment, she claimed to have ditched him in the security line. But he did not stop there, allegedly pestering her over text messages and suggesting she needed to reply fast. According to Geneva, he used the knife emoji to get his point across.

Despite seeing the red flags, Geneva continued to talk with him as Adrian planned their wedding and went from “zero to 100″ very quickly. Plans allegedly included a European destination wedding – something Geneva quickly dismissed – and a barn wedding with their dogs.

They then spent a weekend together at the same time Adrian’s honeymoon with Awhina was airing down under. Geneva reportedly noticed countless red flags over the three days; Adrian claimed “Feminism doesn’t exist”, called his exes crazy, demanded that she make her Instagram private, and referred to his penis as a “10 inch punisher.”

Another ex had a different experience

Ali dated MAFS Australia’s Adrian before Geneva, but it was actually Geneva who tracked her down and they exchanged notes. Appearing on the second part of the So Dramatic podcast, Ali further alleged a series of glaring red flags after meeting him when he was with Eliot Donovan.

“So we met up that night and like straight away, straight went into like the love bombing. Like I swear we planned like a whole future together on night one,” Ali said.

Ali did spend some time with Eliot and Adrian, with the latter claiming he only had time for one woman and his business. Ironically, it then allegedly came out that he was dating Geneva at the same time.

Recalling a weekend away with Adrian, Ali remembered: “And the second night that we were there, we kind of had a bit of a heated discussion, I guess, about where this was going. And he kind of kept going in a circle with what he was saying. But then he made a comment that he was like, oh, well, also, by the way, just for knowledge, like I’m 34.

“And he made the comment, he’s like, well, I also told him I wanted kids in two years, like I don’t want to have kids right now. And he’s like, well, how do you see yourself having four kids if you don’t want to have kids for the next two years? Like how are your eggs going to be by then?”

Adrian ultimately broke up with Ali because he didn’t want to be seen with anyone when his season of MAFS was airing. The split was somewhat amicable and Ali did not witness the concerning behaviour Geneva alleged. That being said, there were more than enough red flags.

“Yeah, obviously like the lying, first off lying about who Jasmine was, the cousin thing, the fertility comments, like minor red flags that I guess when you same individually, they don’t necessarily, you don’t think about them. But then when you put them all together, that’s when it makes sense. I think he’s just a pathological liar at the core,” Ali said.

“Like he’s obviously got a lot of other things going on, but like he’s just, he’s making up crap. And I honestly, that’s the only thing I like. One thing is how are you keeping up with the amount of women that you’re talking to, but how are you keeping up with these lies?”
