Erm, so it turns out this season 12 groom was a stripper before going on MAFS Australia

Long before they became reality TV stars with brand deals and tons of Instagram followers, the cast members of MAFS Australia were semi-normal people with very mundane jobs.

Going on reality TV for clout and fame is a tale as old as TV itself, and while some people undoubtedly do go seeking that notoriety, most seem genuinely keen to find their perfect match. Season 12 of Married at First Sight Australia is less diverse when it comes to jobs, with most operating and running some kind of business. Jacqui Burfoot is another thing entirely though because it would be easier to list the jobs she hasn’t done.

But who could have guessed that amongst the boring office jobs, there would be an x-rated endeavour from a current groom? Eat your heart out Bonnie Blue, Eliot Donovan is coming for your gig.

Eliot Donovan was one of the first grooms we met during season 12, and though most of us (me, it was just me) were distracted by the hair and biceps, he quickly reminded us that hot people can be awful too. Soon enough, he was ditching his wife Lauren Hall and blaming the edit.

We already know that Eliot runs multiple businesses across both Australia and Sri Lanka, but he obviously had a life before that and some reports have suggested he was in the navy for some time. But long before he was working the deck, Eliot was working the stage.

In pictures obtained by the MailOnline, a much younger Eliot could be seen standing amongst a sea of women on a hen night. It’s believed he was between the ages of 20 and 26 at the time and you can see the start of his chest tattoo in the shirtless snaps.

Eliot worked in the x-rated industry for around six years, covering everything from ladies’ nights and lavish bachelorette parties to butler-in-the-buff events. On one occasion, which is where the cheeky pictures are from, Eliot worked the hen party of Australian model Jennifer Hawkins with Beauty and the Geek’s Troy Thompson.

Speaking to the publication, Eliot said he enjoyed his time in the stripping business but it was never meant to be a long-lasting career move.

“It was an interesting experience, but I didn’t see it as something that I could reconcile with a serious relationship,” he said.

In 2025 Eliot’s businesses are somewhat drenched in mystery. He undertook several renovation projects in Australia and might potentially run tourism companies in Sri Lanka but little else is known.
