Erm, the iconic ‘fish and a rice cake’ meme guy is on the new season of Love Triangle!?

At four o’clock, I’ll have me fish

Danny Andrews, a lad from Barrow, is most famous for being the guy behind the crunchy old meme known as fish and a rice cake.  But since the days where that video was in pop culture, he’s had a rebrand and looks completely different. You’ve probably seen him all over your TikTok FYP – but now the fish and a rice cake guy is in the cast of Love Triangle UK season two on E4. The show made by the producers of MAFS, full of chaos – and now Love Triangle will be known as the fish and a rice cake Danny Andrews show. I’m fascinated.

Now he’s gone from meme royalty to reality TV, here’s a bit about his life.

Fish and a rice cake

The original fish and a rice cake meme has over four million YouTube views and actually hit the internet 17 years ago. 35 year old Danny was 16 when he went viral. He starred in a BBC show called Baby Face Body Builders, and he ran the world through his interesting diet.

He basically just went through the hours of the day declaring whether he eats fish, or fish and a rice cake. That’s it. It’s a classic, though. That show was aired in 2007, and his legacy lives on.

Since the meme, Danny is still bodybuilding and is admittedly shredded. Fair play. He also launched his own brand of protein rice cakes. Howling.

On Love Triangle

Danny has spoken out about going onto season two of Love Triangle and the legacy of fish and a rice cake. Speaking to NWE Mail, Danny said “I’m 35 and I just find meeting someone day-to-day now isn’t the norm. I feel that dating apps are not for me either.

I have a crazy tick list in my head and I’m judging someone off a flat photograph, and I don’t think you can get a vibe or essence from a picture. So, I thought I’d apply for this show.”

He also said the season is going to be full of drama, which I personally am seated for. “Wow, this series of Love Triangle is simply-wow. Explosive. Full of drama. Full of amazing romance. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Unfortunately he didn’t share any info on if there’s any fish and rice cakes offered to contestants.
