Body language expert reveals how Demi Moore really felt about being ‘robbed’ of the Oscar

She couldn’t hide her true feelings

A lip reader exposed Demi Moore’s shady response after losing out on the Oscar, and now a body language expert has expanded on how she really felt.

The 62-year-old was nominated for Best Actress at the 97th Academy Awards for her brilliant performance in the horror sci-fi movie The Substance.

However, she lost out on the award to Mikey Madison, who won for her role in Anora, a comedy-drama about a young woman from Brooklyn who marries an oligarch’s son.

Everyone is saying she was totally “robbed” of the award, and her body language shows that she was actually pretty disappointed.

Speaking on behalf of Covers, body language expert Inbaal Honigman said: “Her eyebrows are raised in anticipation, her lips slightly parted, a clear sign that she is awaiting the result with focused expectation.”

“Unlike the other nominees, however, she remains unsmiling, her expression serious and composed,” she continued, hinting that the actress was very nervous to find out whether she won or not.

When the winner’s name was called out, Inbaal explained: “The other nominees start clapping immediately, but Moore turns her face away and presses her lips together showing a subtle sign of disappointment.”

“However, as Madison speaks, Moore stands and applauds. By the time the camera catches her reaction, her genuine smile and raised chin show that she is proud of the younger winner,” the expert continued.

She stayed super professional, hiding her disappointment and giving the winner a “full standing ovation” as an “act of respect and recognition”. In fact, she was one of the only ones who actually stood up to clap.

“As Madison acknowledges her fellow nominees, the camera catches Moore’s face, her expression filled with both joy and pride,” the expert continued, adding that her smile was truly genuine.

“Her chin is slightly raised, a subtle yet clear sign of pride in the younger winner. However, her lips remain compressed, suggesting she is reluctant to speak.”
