Lip reader reveals Whoopi Goldberg’s stark response to Demi Moore on the Oscars red carpet

A lip reader has exposed exactly what Whoopi Goldberg and Demi Moore said during their awkward reunion at the 2025 Oscars.

The two icons ran into each other on the red carpet before the show started. Demi Moore came over to Whoopi Goldberg while she was being interviewed about the Oscars. This is an exciting moment for film nerds, because the actors haven’t been seen together very much since starring in Ghost together in 1990.

The lip reader NJ Hickling told the Mirror exactly what he thinks the two stars said to each other in this moment. Whoopi Goldberg and Demi Moore hugged. They made small talk for a bit, while holding hands. Demi Moore apparently suggested they pose for a pic together, and said, “Let’s get a photo.” Whoopi agreed, and replied, “Together, I’d like to.” Demi wanted them to stand in a clear space on the red carpet together for pictures. She said, “Let’s stand back.”

But Whoopi Goldberg’s response to this idea was super blunt. It seems she refused to take photos in the way Demi had asked. Whoopi said bluntly, “I don’t pose.”

Demi Moore was very gracious about it. She patted her shoulder and replied, “That’s okay.”

So they did end up getting some pics together, but not all posed by the official red carpet backgrop in the way Demi Moore had envisioned.
