He denies chasing clout, but this resurfaced clip proves Casey is Love Island’s biggest player

Love Island hopefuls going on the show to find fame and not love is nothing especially new, but if there’s one All Star who takes the crown as the ultimate clout chaser it’s undoubtedly Casey O’Gorman.

In Wednesday night’s instalment of All Stars, during a voting game that saw Casey be branded jealous, the Islanders were tasked with naming the most likely to cheat, the most boring couple, and the person in the villa for clout. It was during this moment that Casey was accused of clout chasing, something he passionately denied.

But after three attempts at Love Island fame and this resurfaced TikTok, I’m sorry to say the evidence is not stacking up in Casey’s favour.

In April 2024, which was two months after Casey’s second stab at the show in Love Island All Stars season one, he posted an admittedly satirical video about going on the show. He was joined by Josh Ritchie who you might remember from season one of both the standard show and All Stars.

“I went on Love Island, of course, I wasn’t looking for love,” Casey joked as Josh chimed in, “Case you’re not meant to say that.”

In his second take on the trend, he added: “I went on Love Island, of course, I was going on for the followers.”

But it didn’t stop there, and to really hammer home the point, Casey joked that he was going on to get a tan, hang out with the lads, and become a TikToker.

Look, I know that the trend is meant as a joke and Casey was merely replicating the thousands of other videos under the same style, however, they do say there’s a drop of truth in all kidding. I’m not saying that Casey is only on Love Island to get famous, but if he really was that desperate to find love, there are much easier ways to go about it.

The clip was recently shared on Reddit where people discussed Casey’s so-called jokes and how they relate to his THIRD stint in the Love Island villa.

One person said: “Yeah I’m certain he 100% meant every single one. it’s one of the reasons Josh is laughing so hard IMO.”

“I’m about to launch a ‘He can’t keep getting away with this™’ anti-Casey voting campaign bc what are we doing!?” another person wrote.

A third said: “I know they make a living out of this show but he’s the first person I heard calling the experience a ‘Love Island career’. And any time he makes a speech about Gabby, he mainly mentions how she’s been making this run the most fun. I’ve never liked him since the first time I’ve ever seen him in LI. I was so happy when Kaz called him out on his BS when he first walked in.”
