Erm, everyone is pointing out this very x-rated error on the newest Sim’s 4 pack teaser

Surely they must have thought of this before hitting publish on the clip?

The Sims 4 has this week announced the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack, and while it might be the coolest update yet, it’s going viral for all the wrong reasons.

Though we won’t be getting The Sims 5 – with the brand instead choosing to bulk up the existing The Sims 4 – we all collectively gasped when it was revealed that The Sims 1 and 2 are coming back to us. Moreover, as part of their 25th anniversary, The Sims launched boatloads of new content from special events to limited edition bundles.

Expansion packs of been a mainstay of the game for literal decades, and while some are undoubtedly more popular than others, the new Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack might steal the spotlight if it can break away from the x-rated mistake in the marketing.

Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack was announced with a hilarious clip

On February 5, The Sims announced the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack trailer with a three-second teaser that showed a bald Sim getting a tattoo done. He was face down on the table moaning and groaning but you couldn’t actually see the tattoo being done – can you see where this is going?

Essentially, many people on Twitter have suggested that it looks like a scene in an x-rated movie, and honestly? I have to agree. Was it intentionally cheeky? Did they really not consider the wider context of the viral clip? I need answers!!

Reacting to the hilarious clip, one person wrote: “Sims can use vibrators on each other now?!?”

“They shot this like it was a gay porno LMFAOOOOOO,” one person joked as another added, “Or a bf getting p****d for the first time by the misses who are looking to spice things up, hence the hateful look lmao.”

What do you get in the new pack?

Now, on to the actual Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack and how it will improve the lives of your Sims 4 characters.

The pack itself drops on March 6 and the trailer gives us a few hints about what’s in store. The main takeaways are expanding business opportunities with the chance to operate dual commercial and living spaces. The drop should also give you new pottery and tattooing skills with custom tattoos for the truly creative.

But it doesn’t even stop there as The Sims 4 is also introducing a skill mentors system that allows you to earn Mastery Perks points, a brand new world called Nordhaven, and the chance to teach classes and lectures as a mentor. It’s really exciting stuff.

Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks as well because according to PC Gamer, further footage will be dropped on February 18 with an “unknown reveal” coming on February 25.
