Everyone stay calm, but it looks like The Sims 1 and 2 are about to be re-released on PC!
No, I’m not saying calm
Okay, I do have some major qualms with EA but that doesn’t negate the fact I’m very excited about the rumours The Sims 1 and 2 are set to be re-released on PC!
Finally, I have yet another way to procrastinate during the evenings and indulge my constant yearning for nostalgia.
According to Twitter user Anadius, The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 will be re-released on PC for Windows 10 and 11 on Friday 31st January at 10am CST.

Whilst we don’t know how much the games will be available to buy for, EA has teased the re-release is coming at some point.
So whilst it might not be as soon as Friday we only have one more day to find out whether there’s any truth to the rumours!
EA has already hinted that something to do with its earlier games is coming, as they released a video on X showing the Sims green diamond and a menu saying “time travel.” Upon clicking the “time travel” option the diamond transformed into how it looked for The Sims 1 and 2.
Next week also marks the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise, so if The Sims 1 and 2 were to be re-released it would be at the perfect time.

As if that wasn’t exciting news enough, apparently both The Sims 1 and 2 will come will all their expansions when re-released.
For The Sims, this means alongside the base game you’d also be receiving Livin’ Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, and Makin’ Magic.
And for The Sims 2, you’d get the expansion packs University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, FreeTime, and Apartment Life all bundled into one.
