All the Marvel Rivals pick and win rates so you don’t get smashed by Iron First for 50th time
There’s a reason you’re losing – you pick the wrong characters
The video game Marvel Rivals has taken the world by storm (pun intended), so with the launch of season one today there has never been a better time to understand the meta data behind the game.
These Marvel Rivals win and pick rates will help you to understand which characters are standing out, which have the best history of victory, and which to avoid like the plague.
33. Storm
Storm is unfortunately the least-picked duellist in Marvel Rivals with a shocking 1.66 per cent pick rate. Nonetheless, her win rate is 49.01 per cent and is expected to grow as she gets significantly buffed in today’s launch of season one.
32. Namor
After Storm, Namor is the least-picked character with 2.76 per cent and a win rate of 52.16 per cent.
31. Black Widow
Sniper character Black Widow might pack a punch with her laser rifle, but Marvel Rivals players just aren’t feeling her it seems. She has a pick rate of 2.93 per cent and wins 44.15 per cent of matches.
30. Wolverine
Wolverine is also getting a significant buff in season one, so more than likely his grim pick rate of 3.23 per cent will go up. Wolverine currently has a win rate of 47.97 per cent, according to eSports.
29. Black Panther
The king of Wakanda has a pick rate of 3.39 per cent, but he is criminally underrated. For proof, look no further than his 49.17 per cent win rate.
28. Squirrel Girl
Most Read
Squirrel Girl is canonically one of the more powerful characters in the Marvel universe, but that isn’t helping her popularity. She is only chosen 3.76 per cent of the time despite winning 48.22 per cent of matches.
27. Magik
With a giant sword and teleporting portals, Magik’s popularity should be dramatically more than her measly 4.62 per cent. She wins 52.67 per cent of all games, so join the fun!
26. Iron Fist
Despite his pick rate being 5.62 per cent, there seems to be an annoying Iron First in just about every match. That’s not surprising when you consider he wins 52 per cent of matches with those sweeping kicks and furious punches.
25. Hela
The goddess of death is currently picked 6.36 per cent of the time with a 52.86 per cent win rate.
24. Spider-Man
Spider-Man might be one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time, but that obviously didn’t transfer to Marvel Rivals with his 6.56 per cent pick rate. In contrast, he wins 48.47 per cent of matches.
23. Winter Soldier
Much like Iron First, I swear I’m getting smashed by Winter Soldier’s bionic arm at least three times a match. I must be tripping though because he’s only picked 6.78 per cent of the time.
22. Psylocke
The X-Men’s resident ninja has a pick rate of 6.81 per cent and an impressive win ratio of 50.08 per cent. Just stay out of the way of her ultimate ability, it’s nasty!
21. Hawkeye
Alongside Hela, Hawkeye is set to get nerfed in season one as players complain about his one-shot tactics from great distances. As such, he is picked 6.99 per cent of the time with his 47.89 per cent win rate.
20. Star-Lord
Star-Lord, another duellist people insta-lock in matchmaking, has a pick rate of 7.20 per cent and a win rate of 48.68 per cent.
19. Scarlet Witch
Everyone’s favourite witch – besides Elphaba obviously – is picked 7.44 per cent of the time with her win rate at a comfortable 49.83 per cent.
18. Iron Man
Iron Man might be dead in the MCU, but his popularity in Marvel Rivals is alive and well with a 7.69 per cent pick rate and an accompanying win rate of 49.06 per cent.
17. Moon Knight
Duellist Moon Knight has a pick rate of 8.05 per cent and wins 47.52 per cent of his games.
16. The Punisher
Thanks to his armoury of weapons and powerful turret, The Punisher is picked 8.14 per cent of the time. He also wins 46.46 per cent of his matches.
15. Adam Warlock
Healers are the backbone of every team, which is precisely why the first appears so high on the pick rate list with 9.06 per cent.
14. Loki
Loki, another standout healer with illusion abilities, is picked 9.24 per cent of the time with a comparable win rate of 53.41 per cent.
13. Magneto
Magneto plays the role of the tank in most team compositions, which is why his pick rate is slightly higher at 9.56 per cent. He wins 50.33 per cent of the time.
12. Groot
The tree alien is another hugely popular tank at 9.69 per cent with a win rate of 48.49 per cent, slightly lower than Magneto’s.
11. Hulk
With health that rises as he gets angrier, it’s not surprising that he is picked 9.78 per cent of the time. He too is a worthwhile inclusion in team compositions and wins 51.45 per cent of the time.
10. Captain America
Captain America has a pick rate of 10.33 per cent and a win rate of 52.24 per cent.
9. Rocket Raccoon
Healer Rocket Raccoon is locked in 10.48 per cent of matches with his 50.96 per cent win ratio.
8. Doctor Strange
The master of the mystic arts is picked 12.52 per cent of the time whilst winning 49.05 per cent of his matches.
7. Thor
Thor is undeniably one of the most popular tanks in the game, featuring in 13 per cent of Marvel Rivals matches with a win rate of 53.26 per cent.
6. Luna Snow
I’m a little surprised Luna Snow wasn’t higher on this list, but nonetheless, she has an impressive pick rate of 15.48 per cent and a win rate of 50.31 per cent.
5. Peni Parker
The award for the second most popular tank goes to Peni Parker who has a pick and win rate of 15.65 per cent and 55.38 per cent, respectively.
4. Mantis
Another healer, Mantis features in 15.75 per cent of Marvel Rivals games with an overall win rate of 56.03 per cent.
3. Cloak and Dagger
My personal favourites, Cloak and Dagger have a pick rate of 18.81 per cent. Her win rate is slightly lower than Mantis’ at 50.20 per cent.
2. Venom
The second most popular character in the entire game is Venom. He has a pick rate of 19.09 per cent and a win rate of 49.20 per cent.
1. Jeff the Land Shark
It’s official, the most popular character in all of Marvel Rivals is Jeff the Land Shark with a pick rate of 21.18 per cent. Despite the popularity, he has a shocking win rate of 45.39 per cent.
