People have only just clocked a huge plot hole in Twilight that would change the ending
I guess the wolf’s outta the bag
Twilight is all about hot sparkly vampires, and the plot is more of a side issue. It’s pretty much known for being nonsensical in the best way. However, nearly two decades after the first Twilight film was released and it all began, people have noticed a huge plot hole in the ending involving Alice’s visions. I can get behind a few of the other plot inconsistencies, but this one really takes the bedazzled, shiny, glittery piss.
We know Twilight is infamous for containing lots of plot holes, but one of the hardest details to justify is Alice Cullen’s inconsistent powers and how they affect the end of the series. Catherine Hardwicke directed the first Twilight film, but after its phenomenal success, it was passed onto Lionsgate who employed more famous (and male) directors to film the rest of the series. After the first movie, there was less vibey blue filter and more unintelligible yapping, random plot points and one huge mistake the creators left in at the end of Breaking Dawn: Part 2.
What was the plot hole in Alice’s vision in Breaking Dawn: Part 2?
The huge plot hole in Alice’s vision happens when she sees the future between Renesmée and Jacob, ending up as a happy couple years from the present. It’s really important to understand why this is such a huge flaw in Twilight’s own logic. For the entirety of the series, Alice has not been able to see any visions with Jacob, or any of the werewolves in them, simply because they are werewolves.

This was a HUGE plot point in New Moon when Bella went cliff-jumping and Alice thought she’d taken her own life. She couldn’t see her being saved by Jacob because she couldn’t see visions with him in at all. This is what prompted her to come back to Forks and see Bella, and what drove Edward to expose his sparkly skin outside the Volturi’s headquarters in Italy.
By its own logic, Twilight has gone against Alice’s visions during this ending and Alice should not have been able to see Jacob even with Renesmée in the picture.
