Love Island’s Paige is being ripped for ‘outing herself’ in ‘insane’ pictures from 2021

Paige Thorne from Love Island is currently being ripped into for sharing pictures of herself from 2021. Paige was in the 2022 villa, and has shared some pictures of her from a “phase” just one year earlier.

Over the weekend, Paige shared some pictures and a video onto her Snapchat profile. They showed her, just one year before she was on Love Island, wearing her hair in braids. Paige was 24 when she was on the show, so it can be assumed she was either 23 or 24 when the pictures and video were taken.

“As if I’m outing myself to you guys like this but like here is an honest and open page,” she said alongside one video. “Look at my little baby face too. This was in 2021.” She shared another picture, in which she called it a “phase”. Paige said: “Loool I went through a phase for a hot minute.” She then asked her followers to “rate it”.

People on Twitter and Reddit have then ripped into Paige, and have questioned why she even posted it all. “This is frying me,” one person on Twitter said, sharing the video. “‘Phase’ is acc kinda insane wtf???”, another said.

The video has been taken to Reddit, under a thread called “Paige Thorne Strikes Again.” The original poster shared her post, and said: “Jaw on the floor.” Sharing the meme of Greg from Love Island 2019 when he said “what was your thought process behind that”, one person said the post should have “remained in the vault”.

“What possessed her to post these,” someone said. “Unhinged to even decide to post this,” another added. A lot of people have commented on how Paige has made the post seem as though it’s from a really long time ago, when she admitted herself it was only four years old.

Someone commented: “Not only did she not have the sense to keep these pics locked away, but she even felt the need to admit they’re from a few years ago.” Replying to this, another user said: “It’s funny because the picture is one year before she went on Love Island, so I’m not sure why she’s tried the angle of it being sooooo long ago!”

“Where are the people in her life that tell her baby no don’t post that,” said another comment. “Yikes.” Another added: “‘Phase’? Love that my culture is a ‘phase’.”

Some have said she’s treated culture “like a costume” and called it “gross”, but others have defended her. One comment said: “As far as we can see, she’s not making fun of culture or anything.”
