Um, it turns out Love Island’s Ron is a massive Trump supporter and preaches it on podcasts
‘Blokes can’t have an opinion on anything without getting slandered’
It turns out Love Island All Stars Islander Ron Hall is a massive Donald Trump supporter. Not a sentence I ever expected to read. Prior to the All Stars villa, Ron appeared on a podcast with his 2023 villa bestie Tanyel, and openly discussed his love for Trump, and it really is something to behold.
In the clip, Ron admits he gets called a “Trumpie” all the time, but he went on to say he does support Trump, mainly because he thinks this “benefits him financially”. He brushed aside allegations made against Trump, and said “there’s a morality about it” but he sticks by his beliefs. He also went in on how “blokes get slandered” for having opinions, and “women control social media”.
“I vocalise my opinion that I wanted Trump in,” Ron said on the podcast. “All of a sudden I’m putting back women’s rights 200 years, I’m misogynistic… women absolutely bash me.” Ron said he lost more than 1,000 followers in one day when he spoke about Donald Trump on his Instagram.

He then went on to justify his beliefs. “The only reason I back Trump is because he makes me money,” Ron claimed. “That’s literally it.” Tanyel then admitted she doesn’t know much about politics, and isn’t sure why people “hate Trump so much.” She questioned if Trump is homophobic.
Ron replied: “He’s [Trump] had a pretty iffy past with sexual assaults.” He admitted it’s “not good” but said: “I don’t support those actions…if he did them… I support people who benefit me. Benefit me, my family and my friends. He benefits me, my family and my friends, financially. Yes there’s a morality about it, but he doesn’t control my life.

“Where I think it is wrong, is where girls blame me. They call me a misogynist, they say I’m putting women’s rights back by supporting that or being a fan.” Ron added he feels like “blokes can’t have an opinion on anything without getting slandered”. He said: “Women control social media and we get the brunt of it.”
The interview then spiralled into a bit of a men vs women chat, with Ron arguing the “men are trash” narrative should be stopped because “good men like me” exist.
People in the comment section of a TikTok sharing the clip are really going in on Ron for his comments. “This is genuinely bizarre to admit,” one person said. Another added: Well, that’s that then… goodbye Ron.”
Yikes.
