Zara just mentioned Sam in a weird post and it’s her first comment since they broke up

Zara McDermott has mentioned Sam Thompson in a strange post, and it’s the first time she’s spoken about him since the split.

They appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on Saturday night, doing his famous Midnight Gameshow.

The comedian surprises celebrity couples in bed in the middle of the night and gets them to answer a series of questions.

The segment was obviously filmed ages ago when Sam and Zara were still together, but she reacted to it in a new Instagram story.

While watching the show, Zara took a video of her and Sam on TV and wrote: “WE LITERALLY THOUGHT WE WERE BEING BURGLED.”

“I am not joking when I say, we thought that it was a burglar, we thought we were being robbed,” she continued.

The awkward post was as if nothing ever happened and they were still a happy couple, but the pair reportedly broke up weeks before Christmas.

“Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other,” an insider told MailOnline.

“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.”

Another source told The Sun “It’s been a tough time for Zara” who jetted off to Paris to “get away from it all”.

“Zara just wants to try to focus on work and get herself together. They split sometime before it officially emerged and she is now living apart from him,” they added.

According to the MailOnline source, Zara and Sam’s relationship “just never felt like it was heading for the long haul”.

“They never really recovered from Zara’s cheating, most couples would have struggled lasting for as long as they did afterwards.”

“Zara had some big making up to do, especially with Louise, she really wasn’t happy when Sam took her back.”

It looks like Zara is trying to keep things amicable after the split, but the awkward post is a bit strange.
