Louise Thompson breaks her silence and weighs in on Sam’s split from Zara McDermott

It seems Louise Thompson has weighed in on Zara McDermott and her brother Sam thompson’s split and it reveals a lot. On New Year’s Day, MailOnline reported that Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson had decided to split and go their separate ways after almost five years together.

An insider claimed: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.

“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.”

And it seems Louise Thompson had something to say about her friendship status with Zara now she and Sam are no longer together. One follower wrote on her Instagram: “Hope you don’t just drop Zara.” Louise seemed to reply by liking the comment, seemingly saying that they would remain friends.

Following their split Zara moved out of their shared home as soon as possible and immediately jetted off to Paris to help get away from everything.

A source revealed to The Sun: “It’s been a tough time for Zara. The trip to Paris just helped her get away from it all. Zara just wants to try to focus on work and get herself together. They split some time before it officially emerged and she is now living apart from him.”

As for the reason behind their split, it seems that Zara’s previous cheating scandal massively affected the couple, with the pair “never really recovering” from her actions.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Zara and Sam’s relationship just never had felt like it was heading for the long haul. They never really recovered from Zara’s cheating, most couples would have struggled lasting for as long as they did afterwards.

“Zara had some big making up to do, especially with Louise, she really wasn’t happy when Sam took her back. But she managed to make it work and they had some great times together again, but it just felt like it was never going to be truly serious.”
