What is The Lincoln Tab?

We are the Lincoln branch of The Tab, a news company run by young people for young people.

If you join our writing team, you’ll even get a chance to write for the national site – something that looks great on your CV.

At The Lincoln Tab, we focus on everything students in Lincoln would want to hear about. We also do features articles like here are the best ways to entertain yourself every night of the week in Lincoln. We also cover Clubbers of the Week, as well as more breaking news such as Lincolnshire student fined £130 for sitting in wrong carriage of crowded Thameslink train.

We also want to keep our socials updated so if social media content creation is your thing, then there’s a place for you at The Tab.

Who are we looking for?

We are welcoming any Lincoln students to join us, from freshers to PhD students. BGU students, that includes you!

Being part of The Lincoln Tab is a great way to make friends, improve your writing and build a fantastic portfolio as it also looks great on your CV. Previous writers have gone on to work for BBC, Vogue, and even The Tab HQ itself.

We want a diverse team who can provide different outlooks across the student community, and previous writing or journalism experience isn’t required.

We also have a team of experienced editors, and our own fully-qualified journalist in HQ to help you get the best out of your writing.

What will you do at The Tab?

You’ll be able to write a range of articles, such as fun quizzes, funny features, and hard-hitting news. We can also write as much or as little as you want.

We host socials year-round, take part in competitions with other universities, and offer the chance to travel to London to meet national writers and connect with others from across the UK.

Furthermore, at the end of the semester, we’ll be looking for new editors as some of ours are graduating! This looks great on your CV, and is a fabulous talking point in interviews.

So, if this all sounds interesting to you, then come along to The Swan on Monday 3rd February at 5pm.
