Psychological thriller cast call goes out to University of Lincoln students

The closing date for applications is 10th February 2025 at 8:00am


“Fanmail” is a student psychological thriller short film, and its creators are looking for University of Lincoln students to take part in it!

It revolves around the main character, Eric Gardener who is an aspiring rock musician on the hunt for fame. He begins to receive threatening letters from fans, and whilst struggling to adjust to his growing fame, he begins questioning himself.

The Mandy Project recently posted a casting call for the movie. The announcement said that the project is looking for cast and crew to work on the film, specifically seeking talent from Lincoln.

All shooting will be done in Lincoln, with expenses paid. Applications close at 8:00am on 10th February 2025.

Seven positions are available, including six character roles and one production role. They’re also looking for the lead so it’s a great opportunity for budding actors to have their shining moment on the silver screen.

  • A stoic, disciplined and calm interviewer who’s investigating a very peculiar case

  • A retired rock star who’s enjoying the quiet life, volunteering at the local community centre
  • Male

Paige

  • Voicemail message to ex-boyfriend worried and concerned about him

Colour Editor

  • Wanted to assist the editor in editing the production. Payment will be negotiated on contract
  • Required roles: Video Editor (two stars)
  • Required Software and Program skills: Adobe Premiere Pro
