The band also released a Christmas song
The Lancaster-based independent four-piece group Do You Like Worms? have released their first EP, also called Do You Like Worms? on all major streaming services, including Spotify.
The local rock band write and play original quirky and upbeat songs inspired mostly by the folk and indie genres, as well as funk, punk, pop, and psychedelia.
Named after the 1960s song by The Beach Boys, its members include Daisy Smith on vocals and guitar, Chris Brookbanks on drums, Fergus Ashcroft-Walsh on bass guitar, and Jim Smith on guitar.
This unique band is based primarily in Lancaster and played most recently at the Gregson Centre during Lancaster Music Festival 2024. They also performed a set on the Melodrome stage at Solfest in Cumbria. Their catchy title song Do You Like Worms? was first released in September on Spotify, YouTube, Google and Amazon Music.
Recorded at Lancashire and Cumbria company King Sound Studio, the light-hearted EP consists of three original songs. These are the self-titled Do You Like Worms?, I Like Biscuits, and Sad.
Their song I Like Biscuits has inspired their new festive single I Like Christmas, which is currently available on Bandcamp. It will be released on other streaming services, including Spotify, on Friday 20th December 2024.
The group are also planning on more new music for future release.
