Ouch! Every time the celebrities threw shade at their fellow campmates on I’m A Celeb 2024

It wasn’t all sunshine and smiles in the jungle

The cast of I’m A Celeb 2024 have been one of the most wholesome bunch to ever appear in the jungle, but there have been a few spats both on and off camera. It’s only natural after being around someone 24/7 for two weeks that you might see differently on a few things, but some of this year’s arguments have been very memorable. Here’s a rundown of all the shade that was thrown on I’m A Celeb 2024.

Alan and Dean

We can’t forget the most well-known argument which was Dean losing it over Alan trying to wake him up to do chores. The tensions instantly became high when Dean and Alan had a private chat and Alan backed down to avoid any real confrontation.

After the show Dean was asked by a follower in an Instagram story Q&A: “Do you regret having a go at Alan? It was a bit harsh?”

Dean responded: “You know, if you’re upset with someone, tell them, and let them respond, hear each other out, apologise, and move on. Like, it’s really, really not that deep. Alan and I got on so well. We were very very close in there.”

Jane and Danny

Jane fired some shots at Danny on Loose Women shortly after her jungle departure. It came a bit out of nowhere and was all over her camp chores. According to Jane, she specifically told Danny she didn’t want to do the washing up because it was the most “physically exhausting” job.

“I was doing it all on my own so in the first week. I was quite physically strong and I was doing it on my energy reserves but by the end of week one, I was completely exhausted, physically and mentally exhausted,” she said.

She then talked through everything that happened before the camp argument: “I then said to Danny ‘can you not give me the washing up’ because you have to go up and down those 100 steps with all the pots and bring back water and that is probably the most physically exhausting job.”

But when Danny and Barry brought the list of chores to the group, she was not happy – the washing up had been given to her. Not ideal for Jane!

Tulisa and everyone else

After Tulisa was voted out of the I’m A Celeb 2024 camp, there was loads of mystery and drama around her exit. There were claims she’d fallen out with her friends and ditched her campmates to fly back home. Through her management, a statement has been released to finally address all the drama with Tulisa and I’m A Celeb.

After she left camp, things took a turn for the worse. Tulisa was reported to be “raging” and wiped the show from her Instagram. Then, she skipped her appearance on I’m A Celeb spin-off, Unpacked. Whilst it was said there was “no bad blood” with ITV, Tulisa flew home from Australia, skipping the upcoming reunion.

Tulisa then said she was feeling “overwhelmed” and to clarify she didn’t mean her comments when it was assumed she had called her fellow campmates fake.

Barry and Dean

Barry was never impressed with Dean’s theatrics during trials, and made a series of comments like “screaming gets you more airtime.”

After he returned back to camp from his spinning trial with 10 stars, he said: “No melodrama… 10 out of 11.” Was it a dig at Dean’s trial reactions? It sure seemed like it.

Melvin and Dean

It’s pretty hard to forget Melvin’s iconic dig at Dean, who was complaining about his chores. Melvin told him: “Listen, your new name is Hou-Dean-i because you like to disappear, let’s go!” An absolutely scathing dig, but all in good humour.

Ant and Dean?!

I should really re-title this article to all the times Dean had beef with someone because he just couldn’t escape the drama.

Throughout Dean’s seven bushtucker trials, co-host of the show Ant seemed to be losing his patience more and more with Dean who couldn’t help but scream at everything (including sand and fish guts).

As Dean arrived at his third consecutive trial, Ant told him: “Now Dean, I want to have a word with you. What happened yesterday? No stars. What happened the day before? You said I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. You can only change the narrative by sticking with it and getting on with it.”

During Dean’s last solo challenge where he won 10 stars, Ant was quick to say: “You even got a round of applause from us today,” after a string of disappointing trials which he previously labelled “disappointing” to watch.

Dean added: “Next thing you’ll be following me on Instagram,” but Ant said: “No, no, no, that’s not going to happen.”

Dean’s mum also thought Ant was being “a wee bit hard on him.”

“I’m going to have to have a word with Ant about that later,” she told The Mirror. However, she may understand where Ant’s frustration is coming from, as she warned Dean before he went in that “there’s nothing in that jungle that’s going to kill you, do it, just get over yourself do it.”

During Dean’s exit interview, Ant explained he was “very angry” with Dean for calling I’m a celebrity, and Dec chimed in with “that’s because we felt that the trial was doable.”

Ant then continued: “Then, that tough love got you through, then I was really proud of you at the end and then by the time you got to the flying challenge, you were brilliant. See, I knew you could do it.”

Dean then told Good Morning Britain that Ant’s tough love gave him the boost he needed to face his fears.

“When Ant was telling me off for saying ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here,’ I felt it was a proper telling off. I feel like he meant it. So I did what I was told and I wanted to win him back around, which I think I did in the end.”

Dean agreed Ant was a bit “angsty” with him, but admitted “it worked” because he eventually got 10 stars home for camp and a handshake from Ant.

Ant later addressed his reaction towards Dean during I’m A Celeb Unpacked, saying: “My annoyance came across on screen and I was quite unprofessional. You get to the point where you’re like what are you doing?”

At least there’s some self-awareness from both sides here. And guess what? They both follow each other on Instagram now. It’s the happy ending we didn’t know we needed.
