Ex I’m A Celeb legend Gillian McKeith has made some pretty wild claims about her status on the legendary ITV show and the future of Unpacked. You probably remember her as the celebrity who fainted when she was chosen to do a bushtucker trial on her first I’m A Celeb stint back in 2010.
Gillian told The Express she would be very keen to return to I’m A Celeb: Not as a contestant, but as a host for the Unpacked Extra Show. She firstly acknowledged that Joel Dommett is “lovely and friendly,” and that she “had a good time on the show” both times she went on.
However, she made it clear that the clear choice for the next host would have to be herself. She said that the “ideal person going forward to host has to be me.”
She continued: It would make sense to have the most iconic campmate ever and 2 x jungle inmate to be the host or at the very least co-host with Joel.” She claimed that her as the host is “what the public wants to see.”
“At least that’s what everyone tells me everywhere I go. Watch this space for 2025,” she said, making it sound like she may have a pretty solid base to be making these claims on.

Gillian was eliminated fifth on her first season of I’m A Celeb, so she didn’t make it very far. She also went on I’m A Celeb South Africa in 2023 and caused quite the ruckus by bringing in spicy knickers. She’d definitely make quite a fun host in my opinion, but can you really say you’re the most iconic campmate when we saw Ferne McCann eat a living spider, Gemma Collins allegedly get Malaria, and Lady C destroy everyone with completely wild arguments?
