Molly-Mae reveals details about her cancelled wedding to Tommy Fury that was already planned

The date was in the diary

It’s been three months since Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury announced they had broken up and it was one of the most shocking celebrity splits of all time.

Now, for the first time ever, the Maebe founder has shared some inside details about the wedding they had planned.

Molly and Tommy, who share baby Bambi together, got engaged in Ibiza in July 2023 and were soon due to tie the knot.

In a new interview with Vogue, the 25-year-old revealed that the wedding was booked for September 2025 and planning was well and truly underway.

“I didn’t want what happened to happen,” she said. “I wanted to get married to Tommy, one hundred percent, and that would never have changed.”

“I wanted to get married next September and it’s very hard when it’s kind of taken away. But I will always have a lot of love and respect for him.”

She added that they were planning a big wedding, although looking back in hindsight, that’s not actually what she wanted at all.

“Was I planning a big wedding because I wanted that image of a big wedding and the beautiful photographs and that moment that everyone would have expected from us on social media? Probably,” she said.

“Would I be more confident now, after everything that’s happened and learning even more about myself, to say, actually, that doesn’t even make me happy, screw the big Instagram moment, I’m going to do it this way? Definitely.”

She added that no one will ever really know what went down between her and Tommy and that’s how they want to keep it, “for Bambi’s sake”.

However, Molly does think that Tommy will talk about it eventually when he’s ready. So, that means it’s his story to tell.

“I do think that he will talk about things eventually. I do think that when he’s ready, like, maybe more will be said. But I think that’s for him to do on his terms,” she said.

“It’s not like it’s gossip, it’s real life and it’s, you know, it’s a really deep situation. It’s really sad.”

After the pair broke up, the influencer had a few dark days where she thought: “I don’t really know how I’m going to get through this.”

However, her friends took her on a few nights away to Soho Farmhouse and she soon began to move forward without the boxer.

Molly said she isn’t ready to start dating again yet, but “definitely” still believes in love.
