Big claims and move outs: What’s actually happened with Molly-Mae and Tommy in wild 48-hours

It’s been a big 48-hours for anyone who is a fan of Love Island favs, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. It was the celeb breakup we were never expecting to get, but two days ago we all opened Instagram to see that dreaded written out text story post on Molly’s profile.

Since then, the nation has entered mourning, and the news outlets have been working overdrive. Honestly, it’s been a lot to keep up with. There have been bombshells claims made, and reports of how the couple are getting on since they dropped their statements.

Here’s a rundown of everything that’s happened, as it unfolded.

On Wednesday, Molly-Mae and Tommy announced they had broken up after five years together

On Wednesday, Love Island 2019 runners up Molly-Mae and Tommy posted on Instagram to say after five years together, and a year after getting engaged, they are over.

In an emotional statement, Molly-Mae said she never expected their story would end this way, and added:  “I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.

“I want to thank you all for the love and support you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been part of our journey and it feels right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right.”

Later the same day, Tommy posted a statement of his own, reflecting what Molly already said, but in a shorter sentiment. He said he is “heartbroken” by what happened, and said he will “forever be thankful to Molly for making me a dad.”

Then, it was reported they had been through a ‘rough patch’ and had been ‘living separate lives’ for a while

After news of the split spread, it was reported the couple “hit a rocky patch” ahead of breaking up, as Tommy was pictured partying abroad whilst Molly was at home looking after 18-month-old daughter, Bambi.

In a vlog just weeks before the split, Molly-Mae said: “I’ve been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy’s just been so busy. When he’s home from doing work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say any different, like, he’s such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum lifing. I just feel like, at the minute I’ve been struggling a little bit.”

Friends of the pair told MailOnline their relationship had hit a rocky patch, with personality clashes and tension over each other’s behaviour causing doubts about whether their long-awaited marriage would ever take place. “They are spending time apart quite a bit. They are leading quite separate lives,” a friend said.

If was confirmed Tommy has already moved out of the home he shared with Molly-Mae

Less than 24-hours after the breakup was announced, it was said Tommy has moved out of the £3.5million home they previously shared together.

According to Metro, a source claimed: “Tommy is no longer living at the property with Molly and Bambi. He has been travelling all over the place in recent weeks but the decision was made for him to go properly.”

An insider added to The Sun: “Molly is completely heartbroken and is holed up with her nearest and dearest at the moment. It’s been incredibly difficult and she just didn’t want him in the house anymore.”

Their Amazon show has been axed

Some people might remember that a while back, it was said Molly-Mae and Tommy had lined up their own TV show, following the success of At Home With The Furys on Netflix. The couple were apparently in talks with Amazon Prime to “do a fly-on-the-wall show” to give a “closer look into everything that goes on behind the scenes” in their relationship and careers.  Since their breakup, it’s been reported all plans for the show have been axed.

It was claimed Tommy cheated on Molly-Mae ‘multiple times’

On Thursday, a big claim was made – The Sun reported Tommy had cheated on Molly-Mae “multiple times” – which he has since denied.

A source claimed to The Sun: “Molly-Mae is now aware Tommy was unfaithful to her. She believes it has happened a number of times. It seems he would play away when he knew people wouldn’t recognise him.

“Molly-Mae is absolutely heartbroken and says she fully expects that other women are going to come forward and speak to her about him being unfaithful. Molly-Mae has been completely crushed by this. She thought she could trust Tommy completely. The love they once had has been shattered.”

Tommy has since denied all the cheating claims

Tommy Fury has now said he didn’t cheat on Molly-Mae, and called any rumours claiming he did completely false. He has denied everything in a statement provided by his reps, in which he said he is “distraught” by claims being made against him.

Speaking to the Mirror, a spokesperson for Tommy said: “Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.” He is said to be “distraught” as he knows the allegations “couldn’t be further from the truth.”
